Cocinas de New Mexico Spiral-bound – January 1, 1990

This is a super cookbook for anyone wanting to cook great Southern New Mexico Style Food. My Grandma, Aunts, and other family members in the Albuquerque New Mexico area have used this cookbook since the first print in 1990 ... From time to time I'd call and ask for a Mexican food recipe so I could make something different and they always had something on hand. We always ate great food when visiting there on vacation. Here I thought these recipes were some family recipes jotted down on paper or done from memory. So one day I asked where do all these recipes come from and that's when I was told the Cocinas de New Mexico Cookbook. I was supersized that they even used a cookbook. Well it was hard to find and now I have my own copy. I already knew what I was going to get before I even got it... Now if I could only cook as good as they do...

I grew up in southern Colorado (a few miles north of the New Mexico boarder). This is the most authentic cookbook to the region. I've purchased several New Mexico cuisine cookbooks but this is by far the most similar to the kind of food I grew up eating. These recipes would make my grandmothers proud and be relatable to them. Love this book!

Happy to find this again - misplaced mine over the years. And in such good condition.

EXCELLENT cookbook; been using the free version for years. Too bad profit seekers have turned this book into such an expensive book. Wish I could afford multiple copies for my out-of-state friends who want to learn good New Mexico cooking.
