I bought a concave top platform for my old plastic top just to see how long I could get it to spin. It only spun for about 3 minutes. I bought this one to see if the quality of top might affect spin time -- yep! The weight of this top makes it spin quite a while. It has ridges on the finger grip so it's easy to get a good spin on it. The spin point seems to be a glass ball about the size of a BB. It's very fun to use after a stressful day. It's a nice, shiny brass too with perfect weight for spinning. No noise at all. It seems built to last as well. I've managed to get this one to spin 9:33 seconds so far. Make sure your fingers are dry when spinning it. I've thought about wrapping a string around the grip part to see how long I can get by spinning it in that way. I love things that spin for some reason. Must be the physicist in me :-)

Spins very well definitely get a good glass disk for this guy. I'm very surprised how cheap it is for the high quality. It's nice and hefty. I can easily get it to spin for 3 minutes or more with little effort.

Little spinning tips have become my new work obsession. I used to spin my tungsten wedding band and these are much more interesting. I bought a concave optical glass base, this one went 5m 27s first attempt. Seems to actually get slower on subsequent spins. It’s harder to spin because it’s so low, so it’s just a little more challenging than my other ones but that’s kind of fun. I would love to see proof of anyone spinning this for 11 minutes. For being harder to spin, probably not actually brass, and with a ridiculous spin claim I don’t think anyone can do, it’s 4/5 stars.

Beautifull and cool desktop spinning top. Perfectly balanced. Twirls for a very long time! I love it. It helps me lower my stress. Highly recommended.

This is my new all time favorite work fidget gadget. I paired it with a concave glass disc so that I can spin it with low friction and the top stays quiet and contained. I can confirm that I have gotten many 8+ minute spin times, and my record is 10 mins 24 seconds. I love that I don't have to be holding it to fidget. For some reason, while it is spinning, it is enough for me to just know that it is spinning while I work.

Awesome little top. Takes a little practice and a very smooth surface, but can easily get some very long spins. Solid brass very sturdy. Small enough to easily carry in your pocket. It’s everything it’s supposed to be, very accurate description. No reason not to like it if it’s the type of top you’re looking for.

Don;t waste your money! Had several people try to spin it 7 out of 10 could not, the other 3 could get 30 seconds max! Maybe with practice?
