Holy grail item. Helps rosacea and sensitive skin
I have rosacea and dry, sensitive skin. And I always had a pimple somewhere on my face. Every time I used a “scrub” on my face, it really irritated my skin. I can’t even remember why I bought this because it goes against everything that works for me in a skin care product. It’s insane, but it works. I use it 3-4x a week. I take about 3/4 tsp and add a drop or two of water. I rub it back and forth on my hands for a few seconds to dissolve some of the big grit (pretty sure it’s granulated sugar) and then really lightly rub it on my face. In a few seconds, all the sugar grit has dissolved and a creamy mud is left you can use regular pressure to smooth it over your face. I think this has improved the look of my skin more than any other product I have (a mix of high quality Korean, Japanese, and French skin care products) and I’m on my 4th purchase. Today I found out it helps with rosacea too, which makes sense, since my rosacea hasn’t been that much of an issue since using this product.

I LOVE this product!
This is literally the only and I mean ONLY cleanser that has ever worked for me. I have tried Cetaphil, other Clean & Clear products, Neutrogena (you name it). All of them broke me out, no matter how good the reviews were for that product. So, I've pretty much just been using this for the last couple weeks and gave up entirely on American drug store products. Needless to say, when I first brought this home (desperate to clear my skin) I was very skeptical. However, after just two days of using this on my face, I could see a HUGE reduction in active acne and my redness even seemed to calm. Since my skin is hyper sensitive to products, to the point where almost nothing works for me.. I was hesitant, but decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did, because this product has seriously impressed me. Not only does it NOT break my sensitive skin out, but it also actually does what it says. It clears my acne & reduces redness! My skin has never looked better since I started using this product. I don't have ANY active acne anymore, which is a miracle for me. I even like the scent and the tingly feeling on my face when I use this cleanser. I will say that after my active acne was cleared, I reduced my usage of this product around every other day or so, as it can be a tad drying if used often.

Wonderfully gritty
This scrub is VERY gritty. Like a sugar scrub. The directions say to add a little bit of water to turn the more dry "clay" into more of a paste. Just a few drops of water will do the trick. More than that and you're dealing with a runny mess. My first impression was, "that container looks kind of small!" but as I started to use it, I realized a little bit goes a long way, and it's more than you think it will be. The directions also say you can leave this on overnight. I didn't have much luck with that; as it started to dry, it started to flake off. And you have to remember this is a very gritty texture (it felt like it was getting everywhere, and I could feel it if that part of my face hit the pillow at all). It wasn't comfortable, I felt like I had to baby it. Not something I wanted to do while I'm trying to fall asleep. Although I wouldn't recommend this as an overnight product, I DO recommend it as product for facial cleansing. I bought this due to a recommendation to use with the Olay ProX cleansing brush. And combined, my face does feels incredibly smooth and clean, as though I've just finished an exfoliation mask. The only downside was that the cleansing brush flings the large scrub pieces off your face, as opposed to really scrubbing in. The main pro is that I have seen a reduction in my acne, which has been a hard fete to accomplish as my acne is from a slight hormonal imbalance and localized to just one part of my face. I haven't found anything else to really be successful at combating it. For that, I would say this product was a huge success and I will be trying other products from this line.

Will Update in a Few Weeks
I do not know whether this will make any difference for my skin in the long-term - I only received it yesterday. I have been sort of hesitant to use it, but this morning, I gave in and decided to give it a try. I thought for sure that it would burn and leave me dry because I have extremely sensitive skin and lately, it has been even more irritated than normal (see photo). The paste has a very granular consistency - sort of like small crystals of sea salt. It does not have the characteristic aroma of sulfur and, actually, smells quite nice. I applied a small amount (maybe a penny sized pinch) of the paste to my hand and mixed it with a little water from my kitchen sink. The granulated sugar took a minute to dissolve, so I would encourage you to be patient so that you don't leave feeling like you've sand-blasted your face. After I allowed the crystals to dissolve a little, I noticed that the color wasn't quite what I would have expected from a clay... it wasn't pasty, didn't look dry, and wasn't particularly colorful... really, it just looked like I had something wet and slimey on my hand. "I've come this far" I thought to myself, "I might as well give it a go." I put my hands to my face, expecting that instantaneous burn that tells me how much my skin hates me... but, it didn't happen. I thought "well, maybe it's a delayed burn..." and started to smear the water/paste mixture onto my face. Given that this was my first attempt, there's no way I'm letting it sit for fifteen minutes, but I didn't dislike the way it felt and the smell, as I said, was quite pleasant, so I rubbed it around for a good five minutes or so, and then rinsed my face. My skin was not particularly dry. It wasn't moist, mind you... but, my skin hasn't been particularly well-hydrated in 33 years, no matter what I do. Like I said... I don't know whether this will really make any difference in the long-term, but I can tell you that it was nice to be able to exfoliate my face again without feeling like I was ripping off what skin I have left. If you were to ask me, I'd say give it a try... you don't really have much to lose, and even if it isn't the cure-all for your skin problems, it feels good to be able to do something for one's self. Finally, I'd like to caution you that the photo is not the result of this scrub... this is just how my skin usually is... I'm just putting it up so y'all can see how irritated my skin is in hopes that you'll see just how 'sensitive' this product is. :)

Cystic acne gone!
I love this product! I have oily skin, large pores, cystic acne, some black heads, and had rosacea starting to make an appearance. I'd tried in vain for the past three months to get rid of my acne. I tried the Living Clay scrub for a month(made my acne worse and never better), local honey, Soft Touch Naturals Dead Sea mask, using a new cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer. All were Natural and/Organic. None of these helped! I'm a very self conscious person so this was making me stress, and in turn, my acne got even worse! The woman in the beauty/supplement department at work tried her best to help me clear it up to no avail. I got onto Amazon hoping to find something at a decent price with good reviews. I'm happy to say my face is cleared up after a WEEK of using this product! AND my pores are smaller! All I have now are the acne scars, which are fading fast. I make it into a paste with water and apply it to my problem spots and sleep in it. One thing I'd recommend is, after it has dried, wipe off the sugar from your face before getting into bed. I had sugar everywhere. Didn't stain my sheets or pillow case! I use this ever night after I use my facial cleanser and moisturizer. Then cleanse again in the morning, and moisturize. Repeated. If you have dry skin, I wouldn't use every night unless you know how your skin will react. Mine started to dry out after the first 4 days. That's when I moisturized more. Hope this helps!!

Wanted to love it but...
I really wanted to love this mask, but there are a few things that could be improved. First, it is difficult to handle and form into a mask. Even with water, it doesn't stick together well and ends up just falling off my face when used as a mask. When used as a scrub, there are similar problems with the texture, however, it does work very nicely as a non-irritating scrub. When I went to open it a few weeks ago, it had become completely dry and caked into the container with a funky mildew smell and I threw it away. It really didn't do much for my acne, but I have the very stubborn cystic kind that only accutane and strict dietary changes can help. For those with less severe forms of acne, this product may help you if you use it as a scrub. I think this could be a great product in the manufactures made some tweaks such as: a binding agent to form a more homogeneous product and an air tight container to prevent drying out.

Caused the worst breakouts of my life
It’s weird how this worked on me. The first use or two I thought I noticed a difference. I had a spot or two on my back and chest so I used it there as well. Over a few weeks, the spots on my back turned into raging painful cyst-like acne- and tons of it. I’ve dealt with bad acne since a teen but I’ve never experienced it this horribly- I’m 30! I take great care of my skin. I’ve had to hide my back and shoulders with clothing from the embarrassing large bumps, but for some reason my face is clear. This is the only product that has changed in months, so I decided to use my old scrub during my last shower. The bumps and swelling are going down tremendously and no new ones have formed. After seeing other people complain of worsened acne from this product, I highly encourage you to look elsewhere if you have acne prone skin. It’s not worth the risk! My scars will take months and months to lighten and I can’t wear tank tops for quite some time. It’s miserable and so insanely embarrassing. I wish I could give it -3 stars. (It’s also difficult to use and annoying to try and spread, but that’s the least of its problems.)

A NEW CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!!!
Ok.... I am blown away with this product and the cystic acne product. I was that person that NEVER had a blemish growing up and I was mortified as I hit my mid 30's and I started breaking out. I developed cystic acne along my jaw and chin which is totally hormonal acne. So I tried EVERYTHING.... proactiv, panoxyl, tea tree oil and the only thing that worked was when I was on Bactrum antibiotics after a surgery. Determined to not live on antibiotics I started looking for products so after spending however much money, I said what heck and ordered three things.... the four in one, the cystic acne cream and an activated charcoal black mask (not from this line). The process I used was this: Day one spread out over 6 hours 1. Cleanse with the 4 in one 2. Charcoal mask 3. Mask with the 4 in one 4. Cystic cream Day two 1. Cleanse with 4 in one (morning) 2. Cystic acne cream left on for 60 min 3. Cleanse with 4 in one (bedtime) 4. Cystic acne cream left on cystic acne Day three 1. Cleanse with 4 in one (morning) 2. Leave skin moisturizer and makeup free 3. Warm water rinse in the evening 4. Charcoal mask (hour before bedtime) 5. Cystic acne cream on spots overnight. Day four. Face is smooth, clear and now I will use a dark spot lightener daily to remove the blemish marks. I am blown away by these products.... I will never use another skin care product again.
