I’ve tried a bunch of different sea salt sprays over the years, and this Sun Bum Sea Spray is easily one of the best I’ve used. It gives my hair that soft, beachy texture without making it feel sticky or stiff. The scent is light and clean—exactly what you’d expect from a Sun Bum product—and it lingers just enough to be pleasant without overpowering anything else you’re wearing. I also love that it adds volume without weighing my hair down. A few sprays on damp hair and a quick scrunch gives me natural-looking waves that actually hold throughout the day. Even when I use it on dry hair for a little refresh, it still looks good and doesn’t leave residue. Plus, it helps combat frizz, which is a huge bonus where I live. Very useful product for texturizing permed hair. Nice beachy (light coconut) smell. I normally despise and are very reactive to fragrance in products but this does not irritate my respiratory tract at all. My 4 year old grandaughter asks me if we can use the nice smelling stuff on her hair! It helps calm the frizzies during the dry winter months. It is a bit on the pricey side but works very well.

I love this product! I have really thin/fine hair and it gets oily so easily. I bought this before a week-long Beach camping trip to help add a little texture and hopefully some beachy waves. This did not disappoint, and I want to use it all the time! I use it right after the shower when my hair is still damp, then I crunch and twist me wet hair, then let it air dry. Usually when I let my hair dry naturally, it’s already oily by the time it’s completely dry. This eliminates most of the oily texture and leaves my hair looking messy but in a cute and natural way. I would like it even more if it had a pretty and tropical smell. But it’s mostly odorless, which is okay, because some people are sensitive to smells. Also, after applying it and using your hands to work it in, wash your hands right after. Because the salt burns when you touch your eyes. (Obviously) but I learned that the hard way. Overall, this is an incredible product if you want a more natural way to style your hair. I will buy this again and again!

I have super fine hair and struggle to use clips or pins on wash days because my hair is just too slick to hold. This stuff is great at adding texture to my hair for pins and clips and also smells great! It’s not greasy or crunchy at all. It also adds volume when curling on wash days!

I thought there was no way the promises made on the package could be real -- beach-y texture and look. I have slightly wavy thick hair and style it up and over, part quiff and part side swept. I normally use strong hold clays, waxes or pomades but turns out I didn't need any of that as this product has more hold than I expected. I towel dry my hair well, spray about 8 times all over and massage it through my hair, then spend a couple minutes shaping it exactly how I want. Go about the rest of my routine and by the time I'm done it's almost completely dry. It will only be the slightest bit crispy but after a couple hours I'll soften up parts by shifting it slightly with fingers and it doesn't look wet or crispy at all, just perfectly styled. When my hair is the longest I grow it out to, I'll use a bit of pomade for the sides and a quick shot of hairspray for the bangs. Another bonus is that it washes out perfectly and I don't see any drying effect on my hair unlike natural clays that absorb moisture. This is perfectly healthy for the hair. I'm shocked how good this is and how good my hair looks. Did not expect that!
