Done the job

Have been using this for quite a long time now, and can attest to its robustness and usefulness. We use it with a compostable caddy liner, but if it does get messy its pretty easy to clean. The lid continues to 'lock' positively, and does a good job of containing smells until it's time to empty it. The size is fine for the two of us, gets emptied about once a week (though note, we use this for waste that the council collects; we have a separate bin for stuff we can compost in our garden). If this bin ever gets broken, I will replace it with the same model. A wee tip - compostable bin liners can sometimes allow liquid to seep through. I tear up egg boxes and put pieces in the bottom of the caddy before putting the liner in. That way any liquid is soaked up and the egg box pieces can be put in the compost bin with the rest of the waste.

Very hard wearing

Not much you can say about it, it does what it’s meant to. Seems sturdy enough and stays clipped to stop smells coming out (not that you should leave the contents line enough to smell!). Easy to wash. I’m not sure if the lid is removable for washing and don’t want to break it finding out.

The bin is a convenient size but the one I received had the lid mounted upside down. Must have been made on a friday afternoon. However with judicial application of brute force and ignorance I managed to reseat it correctly. Otherwise it does the job it's intended for.
