This 2 TB drive works. It is rugged and small enough that it is easy to carry and work with on Airplanes, even the small economy tray tables. I would recommend this to laptop users who travel. It does hook up with a USB C connector

Hard drive storage back up. I've purchased two and will now purchase a third one, so yes I recommend this product. Of course like all portable drives, this one comes with what I consider "crap ware". Like all other drives I've purchased in the past, I delete everything that comes pre-loaded on the drive before I use it. Highly recommend everyone do the same. Do you really want your personal and work files automatically uploaded to the cloud??? I also highly recommend you do not use their "encryption" software, all mass produced drives with encryption software have backdoor keys at the factory, use Truecrypt, no backdoors.

This is a very good and sturdy external drive. I like having the color on it as well, makes it much easier to find. Only slight problem was formatting. Not as easy to format as other hard drives at least for my MacBook Pro. I can only access this hard drive through Time Machine, While my other hard drives are accessible in several different ways. Better instructions would’ve been helpful.

I just broke my 4TB hard drive frm other company, still trying to recover. It fell from like a 2ft table. - - I am very impressed with this because it is very sturdy and thick. The cable inserts are well protected too. Works faster I suppose, and definitely will not break at 2ft drop.

I've have many hard drives and the connections have been flimsy, this one is much sturdier than previous eternal drives. I backed up my entire computer (TB+) and am using this hard drive with a new computer. The back up was relatively quick and the search on the hard drive is much better than when searching on my old (supposedly high powered) laptop.

This is the most frustrating experience that I have ever had with an external drive. I was looking for a USB-C drive for my 2018 MacBook Pro so it would be fast and not need a dongle. The drive looks quite solid. No question about it. I formatted the 4 TB version into two 2TB partitions with an APFS format. I then did a full Super-Duper backup into one of the volumes. The backup was slow, but understandable for all the data involved in this first backup. Then things went to hell. Sometimes, most times, the drive would not even be recognized. Sometimes it would but it was incredibly slow. Spinning beachball all the time. It could take minutes to even appear in the Finder. Ditto for Disk Utility. Absolutely glacial speed. I am now returning this one and getting a second one in the hope that this problem is specific to this drive. I will post the results when I get them.

Yes it has a high capacity in a small size. But it has a enough protective bumper to withstand a long fall onto a hard surface. The metal finish is really cool and almost glows in dim light. The biggest feature for me is the USB-C connector which is very easy to use. the connector is also protected by a silicone cover that’s very easy to put on and off.

Replaced my older external HDD that required external power (WD MyBook 1TB) with this portable 4TB drive. Though it is technically ready for Mac (because unlike Windows, Mac can read both formats) I did go ahead and format to APFS because this drive will be used exclusively with Mac(s) to stream my personal media files. MUCH faster than my previous drive and I feel pretty confident about the rugged build, while not spending high SSD prices. Great value for the 4TB capacity.

After my portable hard drive fell 3 feet and immediately stopped working and I had to pay over $700 to recover everything on it, I knew I had to find something much more durable. This hard drive has been working great so far and I also got an SSD as a backup. I love that it's water, shock, dust resistant, etc. and it does feel sturdy.

Excellent disque pas forcément le plus rapide mais le plus rassurant et le plus solide et pour du stockage je ne suis pas à quelques secondes d'attente. Je préfère avoir la garantie de mes données.
