After calling multiple pool suppliers and being told it would cost $400 to replace the pump on the sand filter I bought for my Intex pool I started checking Amazon. 3/4 hp pumps were around $250 for the same brand as the existing pump. I went ahead and rolled the dice on this fully expecting to receive something that was made to some metric standard that used a European electrical supply but to my amazement I got a pool pump configured almost identically to the existing one. However this one has a metal housing for the motor unlike the cheap Intex plastic pump has. It is a little more powerful than the old one and makes about the same amount of noise. In times like these where pools and pool equipment are outrageous I am happy to say that the pump was way less money than what I could find anywhere else and actually works. It uses 11/2 threaded inlet/outlets so I was able to use the hardware on the existing hoses to hook it up. The four bolt holes on the bottom flange even lined up with the bracket of the sand filter tank I have so I unbolted the old one and slapped the new one in right where it had been . When I saw the price compared to everything else I was VERY sceptical but it is indeed a pump like the picture shows.

I searched for a new side hanging pump for my storable above ground pool but didn’t find one that I liked. Did find several above ground pumps that put out many more gallons per hour and decided to try the Xtreme power3/4 hp pump………..It works great! Just hook up the hoses and plug it in. I thought it would be too powerful and blow the flex hoses off, but it didn’t . Left the side pump on the pool and hooked the return hose to the new pump, that way the water is filtered in the old pump before going into the new pump. It’s so fast and powerful that the whole pool can be filtered in 2 hours or less. Ran the pump 24/7 most days, all season, with no problems! It can really move the water! Get the 3 pack screw in hose adapters recommended by Amazon, they prevent diy delays and work very well. I am well pleased.😊 It’s a keeper!!👍🏼 Ps It’s quiet, too! 🤗

I bought this last year on April 9th, 2025. It has been unusually cold this year in Tennessee, so I've waited a little longer to set up my pool. I followed all of the recommendations for cleaning and storage, and yet one year and one month later, I have encountered issues after purchasing a new pool. I had been so happy with the upgraded product over the Intex pump. I even went ahead and purchased their 16-inch sand filter as the next upgrade. Once I got everything set up and was ready to turn on the new system, all I could hear was a humming noise. I reached out to the seller and their response was that this was out of the warranty period. However, they did not state what the warranty period actually was. I assume, at minimum, it was a one-year warranty. They mentioned that if I had purchased a protection plan, that would be the only remaining option. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT IT WORK RELIABLY FOR LONGER THAN A YEAR. They did not offer any additional advice or troubleshooting steps. They just rudely responded that they basically don't stand behind their product because I was one month past the warranty.

Fast delivery could have used a bigger size pump though but all is good

A few years ago we had to replace the original pump on our 10'x16' Coleman above ground pool. Went with this model and have been very pleased with it. Very simple to install, has withstood the elements, and has been trouble free. Highly recommend. Great value
