Perfect for 2008 Mustang
Bought this for a 2008 Mustang (base model) and I was actually surprised how well it fit. There were detailed install instructions included for all the models mentioned in the listing and it was a pretty easy job to install it.I have never done anything like this before, and used this with an SJoybring Joy-W006 carplay radio and it fits snugly and looks like it was always supposed to be there. The one difficulty was some tabs that had to be removed to fit it in my vehicle. It says to just cut them off, but they are quite strong and required a saw to remove them. It wasn't a problem as such but wasn't quite as easy to do as the instructions made it sound.Overall, great value for money!

Perfect fit 2008 f250 super duty
Worked perfect for my 2008 F250 super duty radio replaced with Amazon double din stereo.

Fits into a 2005 Ford Focus
Aligns with the screw holes of a 2005 Ford Focus and looks great for a double-din install. For this install, 4 tabs are in the way, especially for the top right screw. I snapped off that tab to insert the screw.

Mostly Perfect: 2005 Ford Focus + Pioneer AVH-P3400BH
Just finished installing this with a Pioneer AVH-P3400BH Double DIN in my 2005 Ford Focus. Ultimately, it worked and it looks good. But, it wasn't brain dead easy; my notes:* The instruction are a little confusing (for my vehicle, the instructions mention not breaking off the back tabs...and says, all other vehicles, move to step 2) Where was my step 2?! My take, the instructions for all vehicles are pretty much identical except some vehicles remove the back tabs, and some need to install the provided spacers).* Because of the curvature of the face plate of the adapter (due to the curvature of the car stereo area in general), it was a little off putting that the faceplate and the radio didn't align perfectly corner to corner when I was setting things up out of the car. This isn't a fault of the adapter, just the reality of putting a perfectly flat headunit into a non-uniformly curved opening ...once it is installed into the car, this difference was much less noticeable.* The fit of the radio + adapter in the car was tight. Much less smooth than getting the factory stereo in and out. I needed to gingerly push the side mounting brackets to get things to finally seat squarely in the dash.* The mounting holes of the adapter didn't perfectly align with the holes in the dash. I could get everything in though.* The 4 mounting screws provided where smaller than the factory screws I took out. For me, they were too small and didn't catch securely. Fortunately, I just reused the factory mounting screws with no problem. If you are not deterred by the finer points of the installation mentioned above, I don't think you should any problems with this vehicle and head-unit.

Not a good choice for a 2008 explorer.
This review is strictly for a 2008 Ford Explorer, the product may be perfectly suitable for other vehicles.I've used Metra dash kits for many years now, and have always been pleased with their quality and finish. In this case, I am very disappointed. This kit is for both single and double DIN installations. I am installing a double DIN enonon G2104 head unit. It is clear they tried to make this one product work for a wide array of vehicles. As such there are modifications which are required to make this kit work with your specific vehicle. I'll try to describe each issue.1. The dash kit when properly assembled just doesn't fit properly into the dash opening. There are gaps between my dash trim, and this install kit's face plate. There is absolutely no way to correct or fix this.2. The kit requires you to cut tabs off of the kit for the explorer installation. You'll need to not only cut off the tabs, but sand down the bracket where the cut was made.3. For the explorer install spacers are included and required. The spacers are problematic. They should snap in place, but they are too loose, and tend to fall out as you are attempting to secure the kit to the dash.4. The face plate requires you to recess your radio into the dash. The kit's face place sits on top of your head units face plate, and pushes your head unit backward into the dash recessing it. Now this doesn't sound bad until you see it installed, it looks like a hack rather than a clean installation. If you have a deep head unit, you may even have issues getting it to fit in.5. Because the face plate covers over the head units face plate, units with controls near the edge will be blocked by this kit's face plate. On my unit, the USB port, SD card slot, infrared window, and a few other items we inaccessible with this kit. Also if you have knobs, the kit may not fit at all. The knobs on my unit are close to the edge, and since the kit needs to cover a bit of the units face plate, the knobs wouldn't even fit through the opening in the kit. If you have a motorized front face, there is no way this kit will work. Rather than covering the head unit's front face, they should have made the kit to allow the head unit's bezel to pop through the kits face plate.6. Be wary of using the included screws, they are very long, and may interfere with the functioning of your head unit. You would be better off getting shorter screws.Overall I am seriously disappointed with this kit and would not recommend it for a 4th gen explorer installation.

Works perfectly but,
The instructions are extremely vague and you need to have a bit of common sense and some wit to you to figure out how to install this and have it become usable. It is a "one size fits most" type of product so you should be aware of this. I had to cut some of it to make it fit in my Ford Econoline dash. I also needed to round out a hole to fit a screw on the side of the unit. The instructions tell you to install the unit and then wire it, just don't. Common sense will tell you to wire it and then install it. Little things like that will make you scratch your head and wonder who wrote this and how am I suppose to do that? but other than that. It does the job intended and it works just fine.
