We bought 2 of these for my husband’s knees. He’s worn them for a few weeks now and swears by them. He’s had great pain in his knees and says they really help him a lot. They’re lightweight and don’t slip. They’re well made and can be adjusted to your size.

It probably depends a lot on what you have, but I wrapped this around my knee and it WORKS! Pain subsides almost at once. Good things about this product: it's easy to put on and remove, and it's small to take along (say in your pocket) when you don't want to wear it. When the knee pain starts I can put in on with a minimum of fuss. It goes over the pant leg (for ease of putting on or taking off), or inside the pant leg if you don't want it to show.My knee aggravation is non-specific and unpredictable. Arthritis, cartilage and skeletal damage have been ruled out. It's something with the patellar tendon but the doctors can't figure out what. I have a full knee brace, heating pads, and drugs ... these all work but come with various side effects. This knee strap does almost as much good without annoying other problems. And, as I said, it's so easy to put on and take off -- I really value this product.

EDIT: February, 2019 - velcro wears out after a time. Ordered two new ones - ***design has changed significantly.***The rubber piece is smaller, the material and velcro are different. Hope the comfort level and relief are the same. Why the change?Have two torn menisci in left knee, pain is intermittent, most of the time no pain. Strap helps with tennis, would not play without.I'm an over 65 tennis player who plays singles 3-4 times a week. I had meniscus surgery 20 years ago, and knee has been getting progressively more painful. Had three Euflexxa injections which offered relief for only a few weeks. I thought my tennis career might be ending, when I met a guy on the court who recommended this strap.The results were miraculous! No pain, on or off the court. I'm running like a 20-year-old, and playing great. I don't know exactly howor why it works (either did knee doc) but don't care. If you have knee pain, try this!

I was using a Cho-Pat Dual action knee brace for the longest time. After many miles on that brace, I needed another one. I decided that because my knee was feeling a little better, I could probably go with a little less support. This strap goes under the kneecap just like the picture shows, and it puts a little pressure upward. I think it works good. I ran a half-marathon with it the day after I got it. My knee ached a little, but during the run it was fine. I am not sure that the ache afterwards was from the changing of braces, or if it was cause this was my first half - either way, I felt that this brace did the job. It was comfortable and easy to use. Lightweight and not bulky at all. I still like the dual action knee brace too. I do not have the patience for physical therapy, so these braces keep my running with runner's knee.

WORD TO THE WISE: Unless you are a child or have chicken legs, ORDER THE LARGE SIZE. It’s not that these do not fit, but I am not a large woman, and the scratchy Velcro for the sizing I need for my leg hits the skin on my leg and thus makes it impossible to use…the soft side of the Velcro should have been place on the top part of the strap, and the stiff part of the Velcro should have been on the bottom. Manufacturer should redesign this product. Going to try LARGE, as the Velcro should fully be off of my skin that way.

My son was struggling with Osgood Schlatter's Disease. Very common in young runners. Doesn't cause any permanent damage, but is really painful until you grow out of it. He was going to sit out a full year of cross country but his coach recommended he try this product and leant him his from high school. Sure enough, wearing this strap relieved the pressure on his tendon and he was able to reduce the discomfort enough to keep running. We experimented with a couple of other brands, but the firmness of the pad and fit of the strap for this one seems to work the best. I bought him a couple because, let's face it... he's a teenager and misplaced a couple. But their fairly inexpensive and work great. By the way, kids generally grow out of Osgood Schlatter's in about a year so shouldn't be a long term requirement.

Can be used for knee pain and tennis/golf elbow. Easy to use. Easy to change size. Great buy! Helped husband who hasn't been able to run, jump, or do squats in years. He can now do lunges without pain

Bought for child suffering from knee pain, determined it was related to osgood schlatter symptoms. Child is active and plays competitive sports. Bought couple different straps. Even tried different ones on other knee while playing sports and training. This one was a good fit, provided support. Some difficulty w/ applying enough tension to work effectively. Required two people or extra set of hands to give enough tension and stay in place to be effective. Once we figured that out, it works great. Have 2 of these and some other brands to use. In fact plays with this on one and different brand on the other. It does have a rubber/foam piece to go over the patella ligament. Proper fit size regular for my teenage child.

This is my third McDavid Jumpers Knee Strap. I love them. I've had knee pain for three decades after dislocating my patella multiple times in my early 20s. It was only a year ago when I thought of trying a knee strap to help my knee track without grinding. I researched and McDavid's strap was highly rated so I ordered one. I was shocked at how much the pain was reduced with the strap. I've tried other brands, but they took longer to put on didn't stay in place, or didn't apply pressure properly. The straps wash well. My first band is now losing some of the Velcro grip, but that was after a couple hundred uses. I wish there was a wider assortment of colours, but that's the only downside.

This really helped my patella tendonitis and allowed me to overcome it while I was still exercising.

Huge support, got me through my 70.3 training and really helps with the day to day such as stairs and driving.

The nature of my work means i spend at least 12 to 15 hours a day standing on my feet and at least a quarter of that time is running up and down flights of stairs. I recently developed a pinching sensation just below my right knee cap every time i put my weight on the leg which was not in a straight limb manner, making the stairs an uncomofortable part of my day. After looking up a few dozen articles i realized i was developing patella tendonitis and looked for a solution. I could not believe the relief i was looking for would come in such a simple form. TBH i chose The McDavids product based solely on budget reasons as i did not want to lay out too much on trialing such an item (some being 3 or 4 times the price). The quality of the manufacturing seems quite high, with both the feel and ease of use to be excellent as well. Cleaning is a simple matter and does not damage the item as i thought it may. The end result now is i feel better when wearing this during my working days and have noticed a major reduction in discomfort AND and increase in strength when not wearing it.
