Great product I did get a defective one. They sent me another one right away. Installed it at same day go kart work great.

The starter fit my gy6 engine perfectly.

Works good, cranks over a 171cc big bore GY6 engine. Hesitates on the first half rotation even with bigger gauge power and ground wiring, new solenoid and lithium battery. It’ll do the job for a couple years till I wear the brushes out.

I just installed this, so it's too early to speak about its durability. It does not fit a Genuine Buddy 125cc. The 8mm bolt holes line up, but the rotational direction is backwards. I figured out that if I installed it upside down it works. It totally does. For now it has more than enough torque and power and has a 100% success rate, but upside down, only one bolt hole lines up. We'll see how that goes. It's dumb, but for $20 I'll give it a shot.

This wont work for a genuine buddy, but I was able to take pieces from this starter and from the original and cobble together one working one. The lead where the +12v power comes in snapped immediately. This is a very poor quality unit but is cheap and can be salvaged for parts.
