beautiful story - poetic, funny, meaningful
My 3-year-old daughter has loved this book since she was 1. The illustrations are beautiful, the rhythm engaging, the story line of the animals conspiring to free the fish is endearing and very funny. It's simply a great book that happens to integrate counting. I hope we keep reading it for years to come.

Colorful Watercolor Characters amongst
Creative poetic counting book with a cute story behind it. Recommend to any child in their 1-10 counting stage. My only complaint is that the spelling of the numbers isn't anywhere on the pages. Nice big numbers kids can trace their fingers on. No wonder Betsy Lewin is the Caldecott Honor winning illustrator. It's easy as 1-2-3 to fall in love with her paintings.

One of the BEST Counting Books Out There
Parents of preschoolers are always asking, in our library, for counting books. It is delightful to be able to hand them this adorably illustrated, whimsical book. I am grateful to both author and illustrator for recognizing the important place learning to count has in the world of the toddler.

I like how the book is illustrated with water colors
The book I chose from the library is, Click, Clack, Splish, Splash a counting adventure. This book is about farmer brown asleep while the farm animals act as humans with a mind of their own planning a trip to the lake. This book features, ducks, chickens, cows, goats, pigs, mice, and fish. It takes place at a farm in the back of the farmer’s house. The book also is a learning book, a counting book numbers from one to ten, numerical concept. The audience of the book is from ages 2-4. I like how the book is illustrated with water colors. i wouldnt let my child read this only because its not really a good story and not challenging to my liking.
