Works like a charm! Yes it actually works. Update!!!
This actually works!!! We got our garden started late this year and decided to just use this while we waited on the hard landscaping with the garden path stones and rock. Put this down around the vegetable garden to keep from having weeds and grass take over and it actually worked!! We have done quite a bit of attempted landscaping and the fabric paper stuff from Loweโs didnโt even block weeds under gravel for one season. I had one weed or maybe it was grass poke thru and once I pulled it that was it, itโs been down for a couple of months now and I am honestly impressed! Donโt buy the fabric/felt stuff. Buy this instead!! 1yr update! Still going strong!! This stuff is amazing honestly. I put this down spring of 2025 and it made it a whole year with only a few weeds popping up and honestly they didnโt even break through the fabric it was small holes I put in it when I was laying it down that the weeds grew out of. So not even the fabrics fault lol. But I got new beds and had to move these around a little to accommodate and underneath the fabric there was very little growth and what was there was either dead or yellow and on the brink of death lol. I will never use another type of weed block again!!! Gardening just got easier!

This is the good stuff
Several years ago, I used some of this type of barrier in my blueberry house. Over time, I moved some plants, added automatic watering and other weed barrier. The other weed barrier was tearing up--getting so bad I was tripping on pieces of it, so I needed to replace it. Pieces of the original weed barrier were the only stuff that hadn't disintegrated after several years, so I looked for the same type of barrier for the redo. This barrier was about the same price of the cheap weed barrier that they have at the home improvement stores, but I know from experience it lasts longer. They have a version of this at the same home improvement stores, but it is much more expensive. I already have mature blueberry bushes in this enclosure, so it makes installing the barrier harder. And, the blueberry bushes are loaded with green berries that I needed to be careful not to knock off. To make the installation easier, I precut the pieces outside of the house. I put in all the short pieces first (between the bushes, the front and back edges. Then I did the sides. I pinned the pieces down with landscape staples. It looks much better and should be much more functional at keeping out the weeds and preventing mud when I water the plants.

Sheds easily
I have been considering this for some time for my garden. We bought it for a french drain. It worked perfectly. We had to cut it to width and I have heard people say these break down. I have found quite a few black strings. But it was perfect for what we needed and I am so happy the project was done. Resinably priced and does what it says!

Not good if you have Gophers
Great amount for the price but Gophers eat right through it. You need a weed barrier with a felt backing to withstand burrowing animals and this isnt it.

Plastic type Material
Worked well but the material is really plastic and not what I expected. It lays down nicely and hopefully keeps the weeds away!

Easy to use, here's a helpful hint
We needed to cover some pathways and raised beds in the garden area. I am glad we purchase this product twice, it worked well! Lightweight yet sturdy enough to keep weeds out. Before the purchase I read reviews that it unravels when cut, yes it does slightly. It is the nature of the product and it is not a big deal. Helpful hint: After working with it, I realized the best way to pin it down with the U Staples is to do it with speed and a little force. In other words, when I went too slowly, the pins got caught in the material. Jab it in there and it works beautifully, slides right in. Very glad we purchased this product!
