Schallen Small 9" Portable Desk Table Oscillating Cooling Fan with 2 Speed Setting & Quiet Operation (White)

Always a worry at this price point it'll be some nasty noisy Chinese knockoff job but fortunately turned out not to be the case. Really nothing to grumble about, easy enough to put together, came nicely packaged with very clear documentation devoid of the usual Chinglish, even the wire securing the power cable was nice quality! Comes with proper UK 3 pin plug (rated at 21W, better than USB powered nonsense). Doesn't creak, rattle or groan as it oscillates, which is often a concern with small desk fans. My one complaint would be the tilt adjustment doesn't feature a wing nut, although it seems well torqued from the factory surprisingly. It's not whisper quiet but it's not loud either I'd describe it lower moderate sound. On speed 1 I recorded approx 35 dB at 1m out of the airstream and 51 dB at source. Don't have my air flow meter to hand but I'll try to update with cfm and m3/s figures, but speed 1 would seem sufficient assuming you've got it on your desk where you're working. Speed 2 it gets a bit rowdier, about 45 dB at 1m and 64 dB at source. The instructions state 50 dBA, 755 m3/hr and 2.4 m/s and a 2 year warranty form Netagon Ltd.

It works but my is quite noisy.

This is one of the worst fans I have ever used. The product is not fit for purpose and, in my opinion, should be discontinued. The airflow is extremely poor and actually generates more heat than coolness. This appears to be due to the substandard materials used in its construction. You are better off without this fan, as it will only cause unnecessary disappointment. I will definitely be returning this item.

Works well enough for a little fan, but feels cheaply made, yet expensive at £20. Assembling is awkward and fiddly. The screw to join the fan cages is miniscule and was rusty. Whereas I realise you get what you pay for, you have this expectation of a German named product that it would have an air of quality. It doesn't. The rotation speed is quite high. In its favour is the quietness, tilt angle and power. The horribly, mass-produced feel of the base part, blade, cages and bits of unfinished plastic, rusty screw and fiddliness means I'd not recommend it nor buy it again. But neither am I going to send it back for a refund.It does do its job reasonably well, powerfully (for a 9 incher in this price bracket) and quietly.

Your typical fan that gets the job done. It’s stylish, easy to assemble and noise levels are kept to a minimum. Would recommend considering the price level.

Great Value Just bought my 2nd Fan, the same make and size due to my 1st ones motor not working every time now after being on ALL NIGHT ( roughly 8hrs) for the LAST 18mths !! Give or take the odd holidays I’ve been away. Let’s hope this one lasts as long 🤞

Didn't work at first, needed to make sure tge parts were together at just the right tightness, which is different to other fans we've had in the past, very temperamental, noisy to, only on for one night and its squeaks, very lightweight to, doesn't feel solid and sturdy. Will keep as it fits the room but will not recommend and will not re purchase again.
