The dress received is NOT what was ordered. The bodice is not fitted at all & hangs down to the natural waist. The skirt also did NOT have the cut pictured. There was no gathering. I tried this exact dress on in Dillard's, ordered due to unable to locate this color. The only thing accurate was the color description. Very dissapointed. This is being returned.

Very nice dress. I bought it as a step mother of the bride dress. I am 5’ 1/2”, 145 pounds. I got an 8 petite. I had the sleeves shortened about 2 inches and the bottom taken up an inch. The bust could have been a tad tighter but it fit well enough there that I didn’t feel that part needed to be altered. Bra size is 36D. This is very flattering and I received compliments all night long. It was very comfortable and breathable (sometimes polyester makes me hot and sweaty but this did not at all.). I did feel like I needed to wear a spanx like undergarment to smooth out imperfections in my hips and butt. The only downside is glitter was falling off.

I LOVE this dress! It's so flattering, and it doesn't cling to my 'rolls'. I would generally order a 14, but after reading the reviews I went with a size 12 and nervously waited for its arrival to test the fit. I'm 5' 3 1/2 inches tall, 170 pounds, with a 36 chest. I share my measurements with you to help you with sizing. Also... the length is perfect for me! No alterations are needed at all 😀

This dress is GORGEOUS. Color is dark grey. Fit well, maybe just a bit larger than expected, but the fabric allows for free movement and the additional sizing didn't matter. The most stunning 'Mother of the Groom' dress I could've imagines wearing. I'm not a 'glitter' type girl, but I felt beautiful in it. Lovely, with a hint of edginess that was exactly what I wanted.

I ordered this to wear to a formal banquet. Since I didn't have much time, I read the reviews and crossed my fingers that this would fit - no time for alterations!First, I'm 5'7, 140 lbs with a 36B bust. I normally wear about a size 8 and the size 8 in this dress fit like a dream. The bust was not too big and the skirt of the dress draped beautifully across my frame. The gathers are lovely and the slit, while not my favorite, isn't *too* terribly high. The dress looks beautiful both with and without the bolero jacket. Lastly, it hangs to the top of my feet, giving me the option of either wearing a high heel like the model or taking it easy and wearing a lower heel for comfort. If you are much shorter than 5'6 or 5'7, you may find that this dress is a bit too long without wearing a 3+ inch heel.My only teensy criticism, aside from the slit (which is solely a matter of personal taste), is that there are two seams on the innermost panel of fabric covering the chest/stomach. This shows through the top gathered piece and makes it appear as though the dress has boning or that I'm wearing a seamed garment beneath. It's not terribly noticeable, but it is something to be aware of. Not taking off stars because of it, though.

I bought this dress for my son's wedding. It looked great and I got so many compliments. The color and style were perfect. I stuffed it in a suitcase and it came out perfectly. It was so comfortable, both fit and temperature - temperature varied from 50 to 75 degrees. The only negative was the glitter shed all over the place.I'm 5'3 and 125lbs and the size 8 petite fit me perfectly.I would definitely buy from this line again.

I bought this dress for my Daughter's upcoming wedding. It is so "elegant" and beautiful. I have shown this to a few friends before the actual wedding time and they all love the look of it. And since I am only about 5'1", it fits well even for the length. Glad I purchased this dress for such a beautiful occasion coming up.

This dress is very pretty and the style is flattering. Alex Evenings is always excellent quality. Unfortunately, the petite was way too long for me. Would have needed at least 6 inches taken off the bottom and so I returned it.
