Perfect size and weight for crushing small amounts of spices. Easy to clean.

This is a great little mortar and pestle set. I wanted something durable, unbreakable, easy to clean, etc., and this works great as it is all of the above and is heavy enough to stay in place during use. The silicone cover also helps to keep in fine or powdery ingredients during the crushing process.

It hurts how do they do that? Not perfectly smooth for pill crushing but fine.

This mortar and pestle is exactly what the seller described. Nice, solid, and well made. No complaints.

I have to give my dog heart medication twice a day. It’s not available in a liquid and the only way I can get it into him is by crushing the pill, adding it to applesauce and giving it to him by syringe. I was using a plastic twist type crusher. It was a time consuming pain and, at best, only got it to a texture similar to very coarse sand.This product was a little larger than I was looking for, but that also may contribute to its effectiveness. It is heavy and very sturdy. Most importantly, it works perfectly! In seconds the pill is crushed to a very fine powder, the consistency of flour. I recommend getting a small stiff bristled paint brush at a craft store to use to sweep all of the crushed pill out to ensure giving the full dose.The lid is just so-so. Not really sure why one would even be needed. It doesn’t fit tight, but I guess it could be used as a dust cover? This mortar and pestle was such a reasonable price and would be well worth it with or without the lid.If you need something to crush pills, don’t hesitate. Get this! It’s study and simple, so I see no reason why it won’t last for a VERY long time. Best purchase in a long time!!
