Easy installation and customization options
This Optic Fiber Cable LED is a versatile and reliable lighting solution. The fiber optic cable is made of high-quality PMMA material, ensuring durability and longevity. The installation process is straightforward and easy to follow, even for those who are not familiar with electrical work. The cable is flexible and can be bent into any shape or pattern, making it ideal for a wide range of applications. One downside of the product is that the LED light source is not as bright as some users might expect. However, this can be easily remedied by adding additional LED sources or using brighter LEDs. Overall, the 16ft PMMA Optic Fiber Cable Side Glow With 12V 1.5W LED is a great option for those looking for an easy-to-install and customizable lighting solution. It offers impressive color options and is highly durable, making it a great value for the price.

DO NOT BUY
Since there is no available power supply it makes this virtually impossible to use. I bought two of these and both of them broke instantly when I tried to apply an external power source.

Such a simple item yet it spawns many ideas.
It does light the sidewall of the fiber, but it will need a little additional roughing up on the exterior to get a bit more intensity. For power, I simply soldered the light source to a 12 volt "Wall Wart" of adequate current via the included "SM-2P" pigtail. The light engine does get warm, so any long term mounting should be to material that can draw heat out of the Aluminum body to help keep the LED cooler.
