Does most carseats fit this stroller?

Yes, sort of. I believe most carseats don't actually click-in but you just sit it in the front seat and then you can put straps around it. The stroller does comes with the safety straps that are specifically to put around a carseat. I have a Chico carseat and had a hard time getting the straps to fit around the carseat, so i didn't even bother with the straps.

Can you store this upright or is it best to sore laying down?

You can store it upright or laying down it is your choice. I had it upright till my daughter came to get it, and she puts it upright for her space.
