Wonderful Easel
So sturdy and stable! Roomy compartments and drawer with a palette cover keep my painting things in place. I can use it as a desk or easel, o e of the things I was excited about as I do collage. I did switch out the strap that came with it for a camera bag strap with a shoulder pad due to the weight of the easel for added comfort.

A little confusing for a newbie - but pretty good.
I've never used an easel before. I bought it for my wife who has never been a painter before. I learned this is a "french" easel...ummm, OK. There are assembly instructions included. (Please see picture for an indication of how thorough and user friendly the assembly instructions are.) So, it took a while staring at it and wrangling it this way and that until I figured it out. It seems like it's perfectly fine for a beginner/occasional user. I'll likely give it a protective coating with polyurethane or similar. As others have said, the magnets that hold the legs in place when the easel is folded up are a great idea, but they're too weak to hold the legs securely. A bungee cord is probably best. I like the fact that the legs are aluminum and are adjustable for uneven ground. I also like the fact that it's very lightweight - seems like it will be easy to pack along on a hike to a favorite spot. It comes with a sturdy handle, and a strap with screws and spacers included. No indication of how/where to install the strap so that, with the right length, it rests properly on your shoulder or across your back. I'd hate to have to guess and punch it full of screw holes. Anyone know about the proper strap placement?

Love it, love the front drawer and storage underneath the drawer. Love the way the legs work, just like a camera tripod. I don’t do canvass work, but because this model does not have the canvass support bar on the outside of the front, I can use it for any type of watercolor or gouach painting, or as an additional desk when needed. So portable, good looking, and versatile with the best price point at the time I bought it. I would recommend this purchase

French style easel
When I went to set up the tripod legs, one of the screw assemblies was faulty. It would not screw evenly, and I couldn’t remove it so I could replace it. One of these days, I will use a bold cutter to remove it. Then I will replace it. Until then, I am using it as a tabletop easel, which is fine.I really like it. It is solid, and it hold small as well as large canvases. (My largest canvas so far has been 24”, and there was plenty of room for a much larger one.)The drawer is easy to open and close, and I can store brushes an paint tubes. It come with a carrying shoulder strap, so I can take it with me.

Works ok, kinda wobbly.
Kinda ok with it. I like that it looks nice but kinda flimsy and wobble’s. Cheap wood like cigar box material. Probably would not buy again but oh well.
