I bought 2 of these to replace a single, much fought over, towel hook with something more robust and entertaining. They are a very nice polished finish with a few minor surface striations. I think it looks perfect with a small bit of marring on the surface, more rustic and used. They are very sturdy when mounted. I was mounting them on a 1" thick pine door so the included hardware 1 1/4" #10 slotted countersunk flat head wood screw was too long. Purchased 4 #10 1" phillips and they fit perfectly and I feel like I could hang from them. I be shopping for more if we do some more renovations!

I bought a 4-pack of the whale tail wall hooks for hanging beach towels on my porch. They are nicely crafted in cast alumium, are large enough for towels! They look classy, too! I replaced the provided slot screws with 2" stainless steel. I'm very pleased.

These are truly heavy duty made of high quality aluminum. The only thing is the tails are not all cast at the same angle making them hard to level on installation.

Great addition to the entryway, hang jackets/coats on the way in - keeps them off living room furniture. Look great, too

I ordered these for the kids' bathroom to hang their robes on. They are gigantic! I am not sure they are ideal but they will work for robes or thick towels. The bonus is they can actually be used as double hooks because the outer tips of the tail are pointed.
