This ChiSoft "Best Arched Back Stretcher" is true to the description on Amazon
The product description of the ChiSoft is accurate, and it appears to be well made. The length of this item is about 15.25". The width at the wide end is about 9.75", and the width at the narrow end is about 7.5". The arch is about 2" in the lowest position which they call the "simple stretch", about 3.25" in "moderate stretch", and about 4" in "maximum stretch". Per the instructions, the wide end should be positioned close to the base of your spine. The instructions are very detailed and thorough. It also comes with a strap that can be used to attach it to a chair, and a rubber ball you can use to get knots and kinks out of your back. I am a 5'4" 120 lb small framed man. I have the Chisoft set in the simple stretch position and I can feel a slight to moderate stretch, I don't feel any popping or cracking. I do feel the product give a little under my weight. Some customers have complained about it breaking. I imagine this could be an issue if you're a larger person. I'm not flexible enough to use it in the moderate position at this time. Some people complained about the pressure point bumps hurting. I didn't feel any pain. If you do have pain you can take the ChiSoft apart and switch out the bumpy top piece with the smooth one. The instructions state "levels 2 & 3 should only be used after you are completely comfortable with level 1, and that for many individuals it is not necessary to advance beyond level 1". The ChiSoft cost me $26.89. Another thing I like about the ChiSoft is it can be taken apart and will lie flat in a suitcase to take along when traveling. There are a lot of almost identical looking back stretchers on Amazon, some cost more and some cost less. I went with the ChiSoft because other reviewers stated that it came with instructions, and could be returned if I didn't like it. I hate buying things that do not include instructions. I will keep on using the ChiSoft and time will tell if it will provide long term relief. I will try to remember to update my review in 30 days. I also own a Bodyline Back-Huggar Bucket Seat Thin Lumbar cushion by Bodyline that cost me about $30. It is more contoured to my back than the Chisoft. I placed the Back-Huggar on the floor beside the ChiSoft and lied down on it. I felt some popping and found that I got a much better stretch from the Back-Huggar than the Chisoft, but I wonder if all the popping will cause arthritis in the long-term. The Back-Huggar, may be another option to consider if the ChiSoft doesn't work for you. Overall, I am very happy with the ChiSoft and would buy it again. Back issues are difficult and different things work better for different people. There is a lot of trial and error in finding a product that is right for you. I recommend giving the ChiSoft a try.

So Far, So Good
I've been using this for 5 minutes before I go to work in the morning (I sit in front of a computer for about 9 to 10 hours a day) and 5 minutes after dinner at night. It gives me instant relief, especially when I get up really stiff in the am. I have spinal stenosis and a mildly herniated disc in the L area. My only reason for the 4 versus the 5 is where the device hits your tailbone area it's hard and not flush with the floor so you have to get it placed either on the upper part of your butt or higher on your lower back. I may just put something soft on that edge to take the hardness out of it. Otherwise, I'm only on the first level for my first week of use, but I'm satisfied with the results.

Working for me... Updated review...
Updated review: 2020Please read original review below.Still using this contraption, almost daily. It definitely helps. As I stated in original review, i was using it in between somewhat regular chiropractic visits. Now, i rarely need to go to my chiropractor. Regular routine has been specific stretches followed by using this device on 2 or 3 different levels of my spine. (Even after using for a couple years, I still use the lowest setting.) Results have been pretty amazing. Give it a try. It may work for you.Original review:Price was reasonable enough to give it a try. Have been using Arched Back Stretcher for a few weeks as of this rating. I have a double curvature in my back. Had this condition since apx 12 years of age and am now 66. Been to chiropractors continually since age 12 or so. Obviously I didn't purchase this product with any hopes of a miracle cure. What I can say though is with the regular use of this product, I have had definite improvement. Based on your particular problem, your use and routine may differ from mine. When I position stretcher on low back and lay down, I get a progression of 2 or 3 cracks; very similar to a chiropractic adjustment. I still see my chiropractor, but this product sure has helped between visits. Definitely do as they say and start on lowest setting. After 3 weeks, im still on the lowest setting. This product, in combination with my inversion table is definitely beneficial for me.

This really worked for me and continues to help me feel open and pain 90% reduced on a daily basis.
I am so happy I got this little thing.....something so small and inexpensive has worked so well for me in only a few days. In fact, I noticed a difference, an 'opening up' and a little 'airy' feeling in my lower spine right away after the first use. I do 3 minutes on lowest setting twice a day and follow up with Photonic Regenerative Therapy machine which I purchased 6 years ago. My lower back gets out of whack every couple months and be accompanied with severe and debilitating sciatica, this time down BOTH legs. This all stems from an old injury in 2008 a fall or two from my horse when I rode still experiencing vertico symtoms which was a stupid thing to do! When I read about this back stretch device I was sceptical at first, but rather than forge the $299 for a 'decompression' machine (I did NOT do well with inversion machine as I have vertigo) I decided to get it fast. The next day there it was and today, 4 days later I am a happy person. Try this device for your lower back pain and sciatica pain. Also do the physio therapy exercises recommended to you EVERY day and walk........even when it hurts, the more you WALK, it will help to get through the tension and legs and back will feel great soon! I wish you wellness and I wish for you NO pain!

Feels very nice to lie on and improves my back
This board is really good. We just keep it out in the lounge and lie on it when we find the time. We have only used the little bumps board and it doesn’t hurt. A bit of middle is required to change the settings but we’ve only had to go up one setting so far. There is quite a jump between the first and second settings and it would be preferable to have had one more step between them. I had some product issues at the start, but the customer service was in the end really good so that brought the rating back up.

Nice product - shame about the instructions
Does what it says on the box, and my back is already feeling better. However it has lost a star because:It comes with a green ball but does not explain what it is forIt comes with a strap but does not explain what it is for. The only clue comes form the product image on the Amazon web-siteThe second Usage Instructions states that knees should be bent but the picture which accompanies the task shows the model with legs extended on the floor.

Excess plastic packaging - absurd
The product is good and I think it is working...however there is an insane amount of unnecessary plastic packaging associated with it...cling film on the outside of a cardboard box, the product is inside the cardboard box, itself in a plastic bag and there is a green ball in it's own plastic bag. What could possibly happen to the product if it was not over-wrapped in such a wasteful manner? If Chisoft acknowledges the error then I might purchase further products. For now I have to put on my dive gear and clean even more plastic from the oceans.

Just perfect
it's perfect. My husband has had back pain for 2 months, but when he tried this backpack, his pain was falling. It's magic. That little ball is for massage. You can rotate it in the part where the pain is felt and it works very well.
