ParaPace Protective Lens Replacement for Hero 7 Black Glass Cover Case Action Camera Accessories Kits(Black)

Received the port door and immediately had my doubts. Locking into place it offers no resistance and could be opened with ease. Seal seems very prudent with very little rubber to stop water ingress. So alarmed by the poor quality i fitted it to my GoPro Hero 5 and laid it gently in 10cm of tap water for 5 minutes. This is WAY, WAY less than what an official door could cope with.After that test it was very apparent water that had leaked into the socket area. Luckily i didnt fit the battery or turn it back on until it had fully dried out, otherwise i would be claiming the cost of a busted GoPro from the seller. You need to stop selling these Amazon, otherwise others will be pursuing the cost of their damaged GoPro back aswell. Awful product.

The Oring is smaller than the standard GoPro lens seal.after a few seconds in the water kitesurfing the GoPro Hero 7 Black was fogged up, after 10mins there was water between the lens and the cover.Standard GoPro lens never leaked like this and Ive not had it fog up.Ruined the shoot I had setup for the day.Doesnt click on as solid as the genuine oneAsking for a refund it's not fit for use in the water

The protective lens replacement glass fits perfectly onto my GoPro Hero 7 Black. The bezel of the replacement is dark grey in colour but the original GoPro bezel is black. It was really difficult to remove the original glass off (even after watching several youtube videos) In the end I had to resort to a plier to get the old glass off. Fortunately, I have a plier with a big enough mouth to hold the top and bottom of the bezel and then turn anti-clock wise to remove. Fitting the replacement does not require a plier - just old fashion clock-wise twist. Excellent product with a strong build quality.

Poor qaulity cheap plastic i cannot even get it to slide open to try and fit it but not happy with qaulity at the £16.99 price tag . In images one on the left is genuine gopro and left is the one off the seller so returning for a refund so stay clear of these replacement side doors for gopro hero 2018/5 and 6 as this is the grey one .

First it doesn’t match the same colour as the GoPro and second the sliding mechanisms is jammed so now I can’t open it to get to the ports, I guess just don’t brake the original one that comes with the GoPro or just spend the £20 to get the genuine part

A little tight but I think that’s a good thing, I doubt I’ll ever try it under water, it was just to make it splash proof, which it does and I’m very happy with it.

Item provides absolutely no protection from the ingress of water, in even the shallowest of water. Instantly allows water to enter the lens then steams-up. Hoping this has not damaged the GoPro itself.

It works. But it was a near miss. I deducted a star because the door that should slide (to get it to clip onto the bar) got so jammed I nearly lost all sanity. I put some oil on the inside and kept wiggling it and it eventually slid open. That being said, after that the door appears to work perfectly and is a good fit. Maybe just the price you pay for getting a generic part. Happy enough...sanity restored.
