Might check the leapfrog website to be sure. **Q: Does this 3d book work on a non 3d leapstart player? the question has been asked twice and not answered correctly. i have an old leapstart player.** A: According to leapfrog.com, "Books with LeapStart™ 3D logo feature animations on the LeapStart™ 3D system only." So, the 3D books play audio on the older LeapStart system but will not have the 3D animations. I have not tested this personally yet. Teaching with characters they know and love makes learning so much more enjoyable—there are over thirty re-playable activities inside this particular book. Some concepts that are touched upon are 2D and 3D matching, sequencing, number counting, matching number sets and simple addition/subtraction equations. If the twins need any help, their six year old brother is more than happy to offer assistance. He likes the more challenging sections found in the book, so it’s age appropriate for everyone in this house. This book can be played on any LeapStart system, but only the 3D version has a tiny screen that adds audio and visual reinforcement to activities.
