Baby Sees: A First Book of Faces (Sassy)

I thought this book had flaps since other Sassy books do, but that's on me for not reading the description. Anyway, my 1yr old loves it regardless and she says mommy, daddy and makes sounds for the dog, cat, and loves to look at herself in the mirror on the last page. When we ask who it is, she says, "meeee!" Great for teaching little ones their first words. Keep in mind there are only like 5 pages and they each have one word so this is a very, very basic book for babies.

Absolutely love these books. This one is extra cute because the last page is a mirror for baby to see themselves!

The colors and patterns adjacent to the illustrations are great! I laminated pictures of my husband and I along with our cat, dog, and son -- used velcro to attach to those color pages - and voila! An easy matching/recognition game for down the road.

My baby loves this book so much that I bought this one for a friend's shower. Unfortunately, when it arrived it had black scuff marks on the cover. I was embarrassed to give it as a gift (especially since babies put everything in their mouths and it looked dirty), but the party was the next day. This is the advantage of visiting your local bookstore I suppose!

This book is more for a younger toddler. Bought it for my 18 month old and it was a little below her level

Great first book for babies. Big pictures, high contrast, and a mirror on the last page will keep young infants interested.
