I specifically look for the little plastic domes on the back that help prevent it slipping and wrinkling up under my back, which after a while becomes like lying on top of a very uncomfortable stick with ordinary bed mats. I have been bedridden about five years of the last six plus years. It is much easier to have these large pads to change under you than the entire bed every time. They are pretty comfortable. Some mats are not.
