tamper resistant Gfi Gfci Outlet 15 Amp Almond 10 Pack

I'm no electrician, so I had a friend who was licensed put these in my home. They appeared to be well made, however about half the ones installed made a noticable humming noise. After doing some research I read that humming sounds often signal loose connections or bad outlets. After rechecking all connections we just had to replace with name brand outlets. No more humming! Could have been a bad batch, but I plan on spending the extra money and getting the good stuff next time.

Did what they were supposed to do, even though I had 2 of them with reversed polarity.

I ordered 2 of the 10-packs. Out of the 20 outlets I installed, 9 were defective. They either didn't work at all, or failed to reset. I returned those,and installed the remaining outlets, but they all run very warm. With 2 outlets in one 4 in. box, the box is uncomfortably hot to the touch even with nothing plugged in. I plan to replace them with higher quality outlets.I would avoid these. I agree with a previous reviewer, you get what you pay for.

It's great that Amazon sells this in a 10-pack. It's a great value and works very well. Our house's main floor didn't have outlets with a ground connection so it was a pain for some appliances that needed the three prong outlet. This worked perfectly! It was also very easy to install.

I have used 8 of these with no issues. Buying in bulk made sense as I am replacing numerous old-style 2-prong receptacles. (GFCI receptacles without a ground, meet the electrical code.) Construction is solid and I like the red LED trip warning indicator.

Work just fine - I've installed 2 so far no issues.

Installed these in my new house. Some made a faint buzzing sound you had to really listen to hear it so i just ignored it. 2 years later 3 have failed and 2 are to noisy to ignore. Now I have to change all of them.
