⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic learning game that truly engages a 3-year-old
This Osmo Little Genius Starter Kit has been a wonderful learning tool for my 3-year-old. The hands-on pieces combined with the iPad make learning feel like play, and it keeps my child engaged far longer than typical screen time. The games are intuitive and age-appropriate, focusing on early problem solving, phonics, and creativity without being overwhelming. I love that it encourages interaction away from the screen—my child is touching shapes, forming letters, and thinking through solutions rather than just tapping. The instructions are clear, and my 3-year-old was able to understand how to play after a short introduction. It’s great for independent play but also fun to sit and do together. The pieces are sturdy, colorful, and easy for small hands to use, and the iPad base works perfectly. Overall, this is an excellent educational investment for preschoolers and a great way to support early learning in a fun, engaging way. Highly recommend for ages 3–5.

Great for STEM based activities for toddlers, preschoolers - letter game is the best!
My friend recommended Osmo for a while but I always felt the activities were too advanced for my 2 year old (at the time) Then I found out they released this junior version. My son is now 3 years old and this is perfect for him. It comes with 2 games. A costume / dress up game and an alphabet game. The dress up one he played for about 10 minutes which isn’t bad. But then we switched to the alphabet one and he must have played it for a good 30 minutes!! He loves the little monster and follows everything he says to do. The game basically provides you a bunch of “segments” and you piece them together to make the letter. And then to use those same “segments” to make an object that starts with the letter. They give you an example of one which is great for toddlers. My 9 year old was watching from the side and eagerly wanted to play with it. Even though she is older she actually liked being able to see the suggested object and improvising her own creation. Eventually she wanted to come up with her own creation without seeing the suggested one. I felt the letter game really encourages creativity. Matching shapes and colors. Practice letter sounds. The costume game is a fun bonus but it did not encourage much creativity since you have to lay down the piece of clothing that matches the one shown on the screen. Other than that, I’m really glad they came out with a set suited for 2-3 year olds.

This game is great!
We also have the older-kid version (Genius Kit), and we have a lot of fun with it! However, when my niece (3 years old) tried to play the older one, she was too young. For her 4th birthday, we gave her this Little Genius kit, and it was perfect for her age! She was just learning letters, so she got to follow along and make each sound with the characters. She had the most fun making different faces and then seeing them get put onto bodies. It was amusing for us watching her laugh so much at the different faces walking around the screen. The shapes make it so easy for her to make designs since she is still learning how to draw (this is what frustrated her with the older-kid version: she couldn’t draw the things they asked her to draw). It seems as though Osmo has taken all of the great things about the original kit and made them accessible for younger learners! Very nicely done!

This is AMAZING!
Backstory: I have a very rambunctious 4-year-old boy who was struggling with knowing his letters. He had his numbers, shapes, and colors all memorized but for some reason letters were frustrating for him. I had bought the alphabet flash cards and he had zero interest in them and would just try to be silly to avoid working with me. I tried working with him in all sorts of ways to get him to recognize letters but to no avail. So, I found this OSMO game for pre-school and gifted it to my son for Christmas. It was super easy set up, a couple apps to download (so if you're hard-up for storage that is something to consider), but very easy instructions and voila we were playing with OSMO. (Review for the ABC game) From the get-go he loved it! The bear character talks to the child giving them instructions and allows time for the child to build on the mat. The bear gives encouraging feedback and asks the child if they want to try again if it doesn't match. I think being able to use tangible pieces to build and play with letters is very helpful for someone like my son. Overall, I'd recommend this to any parents who are wanting to get an early start with their little ones.

This is a good set for younger children
I really liked the idea of these activities and the tactile, inter-activeness that Osmo does. However, the games are kind of limited, boring and slow (even for a 3 year-old). It is not really an age thing as he can do some of the older child set activities that we have for his brother, so it is not an understanding thing, it is an attention thing (boring). Hopefully in the future they update the programs because I think there is a lot of potential here. I also wish these games had more directions for children to follow so that they could do it more easily and independently at this age, but it does keep me involved in what they are doing which isn't a bad thing (my child can play board games so directions is not usually something we are too concerned with). My child really enjoys the stories activity, but the squiggles is fun only in short spurts because it is boring (even though this was the reason I bought is). For the stories activity, I wish they included more characters and pieces - it could have been really nice. Due to the nature of these activities, I removed one star. The work pad provided by Osmo is great and of high quality and a must have for all activities. There is a parent app that is not all that great, and their app to download and use the activities is so-so and semi-confusing. I did not pay full price - I would not recommend paying full price - but for a deal like I got, it is an okay purchase and we use it frequently so I am glad we purchased it (especially with isolation going on). It is fine, but really could have been excellent, and I hope in the future they make it so. I will keep an eye out for other activities in the future.

Perfect addition to our Osmo collection!
I had to grab this new kit before school starts up again so that our streaming video service can get a rest haha. My kids are 6 and 4 now and we've had the Genius Kit for a few years already. They enjoy all those games but aside from Monsters the other games are difficult for them to use without help. This Little Genius kit is much better for both of them, perfect for the last years of pre-school/pre-K and K. So far it seems that they can play the games independently, or with my oldest helping her younger brother. It reminds me a lot of the activities they've been doing in "school" the last few years. Also this is something we could bring with us on vacation because there are fewer little parts and pieces that could get lost compared to the Genius kit. As always with Osmo the pieces are high quality and cute and well packaged. I wouldn't expect any less for the price point but good to be reassured that they are still making a good product. Anyways, highly recommend for 3-6yrs age group!

Fun interactive learning
My 3.5 year old loves . I bought it on a whim to get him another big gift for Christmas . He sits and creates with this for a good hour at a time which is a LONG time For a 3 year old. Such a great system . He is learning and doesn’t even realize it bc he is having fun with it. Kids learn to creat letters from shapes and then the little monster tells it a word that starts with that letter and they creat a picture. This is just one of the four games . I wish there was more add ons for his age group.

Pleasantly surprised
I have seen this product all over social media and commercials. We are not a tablet family. If our kids use a tablet, we allow them to use our ipad maybe once a month. I purchased this because my daughter kept asking for “ipad games”. I was not expecting much from this product. It is educational, keeps her attention, she isnt worried about completing tasks for coins to purchase things in a market place. Highly recommend if youre looking more for something that is more educational but still fun.
