Saved expensive quilt fabric! Works unbelievably well.
I recently attended a quilt conference and purchased several yards of beautiful hand-dyed fabric. I also purchased the recommended setting solution and followed the seller's instructions. I'm an experienced quilter and just couldn't believe that the solution was going to sufficiently help with dye retention such that I could launder all of them together so I threw in two of the Carbona reusable color grabbers. You can see the result from the picture. The fabrics ranged from light yellow to deep jewel tones. There was zero color bleed on even the lightest of them because the color grabbers absorbed it all! Whew. Going forward, these two will be used for other dark loads and the remaining other two, which still appear white, will be for my lights. I rarely write reviews but this worked so well and saved the day, I decided to. I also appreciate their environmental friendliness.

So far so good.
These color grabber cloths were hard to find. I got my first two from Joann Fabrics. Despite the short limit of use the box recommends, I used the first one for YEARS before my son mistook it for a washcloth. The second one I used for two decades before it finally disintegrated. I used both in every load of wash I did and they both kept my laundry from having bleeds in all the years I used them. So, I was happy to find this set of four and for a good price. I gifted one to my nephew and he hasn't turned his laundry pink even once since he started using his. Just a note, though, most often I was my clothes in cold water. I do, however, mix reds with whites and blues, and have had no issues.

I will never do laundry without these on hand
I have used these reusable dye catchers for years. Instead of the one time use ones, this one can be used on 30 loads or more. You never know when that stray piece of laundry will get in your load by accident and this helps prevent those headaches when they do. You will be surprised just how much dye comes out in a load even if they are like colors. The cloth will begin to turn gray with the first use but will continue to darken and trap dyes 30 loads later. If you are looking for an economical way to catch the dyes released with your laundry, this is a must.

Work just like the disposables!
After a few color run “accidents” when my kids did laundry, I started using the disposable color absorbers. They work great but when I had a hard time finding them, I ordered these. So far, I’ve used one cloth approximately 15 times and have had no issues so it’s definitely durable. It turns dark as you use it because it absorbs color. The only downside is that there is no way to know for sure when it’s “done.” I don’t want to take any chances so will probably toss it and use a new one soon.

Magic!
These are absolute magic! I used to have all kinds of issues with colors running, and I ended up having to do multiple small loads of laundry. With these beauties, I throw one in and don't have to worry about mixing colors. I've even put in brand-new items with my regular wash. It's also very helpful when you have something that has white and colors on it -- I had some bathroom rugs that I had washed without this cloth, and the colors ran into the white and made it look dingy. These cloths fix that problem. I love that they are reusable -- great value for the money. Saves you money on doing laundry, too, because you can run larger loads. When it's done, you can use it as a rag or put it in with textile recycling.

Work great!
Ok so gonna be honest because I suspect this may be an issue for others too -- the two downsides are 1) We usually forget to look for the color grabber before throwing everything in the dryer and they end up with the clean wash, my mom's tasks include folding and she will swipe them thinking they are washcloths! Then we can't find them for the next load!! :-D ok😅maybe that's just an "us problem" 2) They say they are good for limited loads then give check boxes on the cardboard package, which is next level and I will probably never check boxes for this, but you can tell when they are quite grey in color from the gleaming white they start out as. And they have work less well then. Depends on how many fabric items you have that might bleed how long they will really last. I like them and get them probably once every other year because I feel like they must be better for the environment than disposables -- we use them for dust rags/spills when they are grey and done catching dye, they have really nice binding so they do have a lot of life to them beyond catching dye. They probably are more expensive than disposables but I feel it is absolutely worth throwing out less.... Next experiment will be to see if the $5 Ikea washcloth 10 pack can be treated some which way to do the same thing !!

Love these!!
These are seriously the best!! Keep colors from bleeding, I love that they double as rags after they have fulfilled their purpose, we use ours longer than 30x, as long as the clothes aren’t new/full of new fabric dye We’ve been using these for over 6 years and I will never go back to sorting laundry by color, with a family of 5 I would be faking laundry sorting forever, so we take out the whites, and then everything else in done per person , definite time saver
