Easy install
The hitch is pretty sturdy and well worth the money! There are a ton of different videos to watch if you need help installing it. There was a wire harness that I bought separately, and that was just plugged and play.I had a couple of hiccups putting it in, but it was on my part (I left my socket extender and breaker bar at my apartment and worked on it at my parents' house). Since my Subaru is 16 years old and I live in Massachusetts, I thought there would be more problems installing it because of rust from years of road salt, but there weren't. The bolts are already in place in your car, so you don't have to make bolts fit through rusty old bolt holes. You'll need a breaker bar(which was one of the hiccups I was talking about).

Easy to install
Shipped super quick, was easy to install and works great! There are plenty of reference videos on YouTube for reference. Hitch is super sturdy, welds look great, and it's a nice gloss finish. Does not come with tow ball. Also, dont be discouraged when you don't see hardware in the box... you use your factory hardware!

Installed and working
I saved a considerable amount of money by installing this myself instead of going to a local trailer hitch seller. I researched how install it on my 2008 Subaru Forester by viewing online videos and found that it was no more of a hassle than I had expected. I have an air-driven impact wrench that made things much, much easier, so if you're doing it by hand make sure you have a breaker bar (and handle extension) and be ready for serious exertion. Be sure to do things in the correct sequence or you'll find yourself doing it over. I had to bend the muffler strut with an oxy-acetylene torch to clear the car's bracket. It persisted in rattling under heavy load, but I found out later that replacing a deteriorated doughnut exhaust gasket up front quieted things down: I suspect that the play shortened the exhaust system's length, so you may not need to do this.

Good overall, with a minor issue or two.
Seems to be well constructed with quality metal. Definitely lighter weight than I'm used to but this is the first class ii hitch that I've installed. My only complaints would have to be the lack of hardware given and the position of the safety chain attachment hoops. This kit requires you to reuse the bolts that are in already in the car. These bolts are very short and make it hard to get them screwed back in once the receiver is held in place. This causes some concern for cross threading, but can be avoided if you're careful. Supplying longer mounting bolts would eliminate this issue. The safety chain hoops are nice but are located directly below the holes for the hitch pin. This makes it almost impossible to attach the cotter pin. Not an issue for a 2" receiver, but the smaller size of the class ii means there is no good spot to rotate the hitch pin in order to get the cotter pin in. I ended up having to use a hammer to pound in the cotter pin, will be difficult to get back out in the future if I need to. Relocating the safety chain hoops 1" rearward would fix this issue. Overall good product, and fairly easy to install as long as you have a 12mm socket for the charcoal canister, 14mm for the exhaust hangar and the tow points, and an 18mm socket for the mounting bolts. Install time took about 50 minutes.

Perfect Fit
This Trailer hitch surpassed all my expectations. It installed in no time and fit my subaru perfectly. Honestly one of the best purchase experiences I have ever had. When they say it fits, it is a perfect fit. What amazing craftsmanship. Thank you, sincerely Eric Sautter.

Says it comes with ball mount and pin. IT DOES NOT.
The hitch mount is fine, but it DOES NOT come with the ball mount and pin as pictured and promised. Amazons support doesn't seem to cover it, and Curt haven't gotten back to me about it. Half the reason I bought this was to get the INCLUDED ball mount and pin, now I have to go buy one at my own expense because Amazing didn't keep their side of the deal. Zero stars if I could.

Nice to have a hitch
Wish they would make a 2" hitch for the 2007 Forester - it's not like I'm going to pull a 40' trailer with it jeesh. BUT this is a nice hitch, made in the good old USA too. I do wish it had an anti-rattle system built into it - the draw bar can rattle. I also have used a 1 1/4" to 2" adapter from Harbor Freight, to use both a 2" bike rack and a cargo carrier. It isn't a perfect system, mostly have trouble with rattling, even with an after market anti-rattle device. I will say, the Yakima rack that fits 1 1/4" and 2" does have a nice anti-rattle system that works great with this hitch. Just wish it had like a set-bolt or something to tighten down a drawbar or hitch adapter etc.
