It's a K&N air filter
These are direct replacements for the 2012 Mercedes CLS550 and basically any Mercedes with the M278 4.6L turbo engine. They fit great and installed easily. You won't gain much power, but these are cleanable and reusable, so it's the last air filters you'll ever have to buy for the car.

Excellent product.
I have used them on various vehicles for the past 15 yrs from high performance cars, SUV's and heavy duty pickups. They have all been easy to install and perform as advertised (ie. better mileage, performance and I have never had to replace them). I have only had this one for about a month and done one long trip, but it seems to be delivering as advertised.

Noticeable Power Gain
First drive with the K&N filters installed, the engine power increase was immediately noticeable.AND after another 20 minutes of driving, my Mercedes E550 with its twin turbo 4.7L V8 engine computer seems to "learn" the new way to breathe freely.Much more power was unleashed. Less turbo lag felt and it spins the rear wheels off traction on 1st and 2nd effortlessly. Its a now a beast !
