Ion Magenta Semi Permanent Hair Color Magenta

I absolutely /LOVE/ these colours. Currently I own Aqua, Sky Blue, Magenta, and Teal. I've used both Aqua and Sky Blue, though I just bought Magenta and Teal. DO NOT APPLY THIS DIRECTLY FROM THE TUBE INTO YOUR HAIR!! I cannot stress that enough! MIX IT WITH CONDITIONER It doesn't dilute the colour unless you use a minute amount of pigment. This is also useful when you want to do a deep conditioning treatment after bleaching. First time, I left it on for a half hour and it worked pretty well. The second time, three hours. My hair has never been softer. I bought shower caps so next time I'm leaving it in overnight. WARNING: This shit stains like crazy. Make sure you wipe off any dye that ends up on the sink as soon as you're done. Apply vaseline to your hairline and ears so it doesn't stain there either. Also: with the blue MAKE SURE YOUR HAIR IS WHITE AS YOU CAN GET IT. Any yellow in your hair will turn green. Remember kindergarten? Yellow + Blue = Green. Regardless: awesome product, super cheap [about $5 a tube in store] especially since you mix it with conditioner. I've only used 1/4 of my Aqua and 1/8 of my Sky Blue. If you can, buy it directly from Sally's and buy it in bulk when it's on sale. I plan to get my hands on their new pastel line and try them out too.

I professionally cosplay as Harley Quinn & I’ve tried A LOT of pink hair dyes in my day & this is by far the best I’ve ever tried. With other pinks, i’d have to touch it up every 2-3 weeks. I can go EASILY 2 months without even thinking about touching it up. (However bare in mind that I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week in cold water but you should be doing that anyways if you have colored hair) anyways, I love this brand. Beautiful color line!

NOT AT ALL what I ordered! I am so extremely disappointed! I just ordered one of these and it was exactly as shown. So I ordered five more and got sent something completely different! I ordered what was advertised as 5 boxes of the original formula of the Ion Brights semi permanent hair color, and was sent the new formulation, which is nothing like the original. This advertisement is for the original formula. The new formula is crap! It’s not even close to the same magenta color, it’s runny and comes out blotchy. On top of all that it doesn’t even stay in the hair, it washes out so quickly! I have used the same Ion Brights for over 15 years and this was such a let down to not get what was shown.

I love the vibrant color of Ion hair color. They last as long as 6 weeks and my hair feels soft, smooth and shiny after washing it. It’s easy to use, too. Everything comes in a tube like a toothpaste. I highly recommend it.

I've used splat products a few times and finally worked up the courage to try something new. I needed a product with less mess and get the color you want not just the color on the box. My only issue is it took me a few tries to get my desired look because the color just would not stop rinsing completely out but once it sticks the color amazing. Best part; delivered on time, first thing in the morning.

I’ve been using this color for about 2 years now. I used to be obsessed with the NRage but unfortunately I can’t find it after 2020. This color mixed with the Ion Color Depositing Shampoo works wonders. I definitely recommend. For best results I recommend having a level 8 or higher. I started with a level 8 and I think it came out amazing. OH YEA, and the smell?!?! GREAT!!!!

I have issues with dye not sticking to my darker hair. After a bleach session my hair was so damaged so I was weary to apply the pink [ and purple I purchased locally ] but it actually made my hair feel so much better than it had been. Not a harsh chemical base and is wonderful smelling! I have many other colors on my wishlist. [ If this gets on your skin just use a make up remover and it comes right off. So good for the hair and doesn't stank up the bathroom! ]

I ordered this to make the front of my hair a pink like color. The first time i did it the color did not really take. i would say it was about 40% saturated to the color it was supposed to be. it was almost like a backwards ombre where the ends of my hair held the color better than the top of my hair. I did it a second time a week later to hopefully darken the color saturation. It worked a bit. My ends are completely magenta, but the top of my hair is still not holding the color that well. When i put my hair up u can tell it's not completely pink it looks washed out. When my hair is down the color looks better i guess the top and ends hold better color than the bottom of my hair. Keep in mind my hair was lightened not bleached. I would say my hair was a golden medium blonde before i added the pink. Im not sure why this is the case but yeah overall. the ends of my hair saturated 100% Pink, the top of my hair is like 50%. The pictures shown are of my hair down the day i did the pink the second time and the other picture is my hair up a few days later
