A gift
This was given to me as a gift. It reads my 2016 f350 power stroke. So the code was read . Can’t update reader as it is Not Mac compatible and very little information about scanner available. There web site has little to no information. I was looking for what was needed for updates nothing. I’ve looked to see if there was a third party program but there is very little info about this company and its products.

Sorted a 2012 Mondeo dash warning light for me, and opened my eyes to a load of other setting I could mess with. Quality reader and easy to use even if the news it delivers is jeffing expensive...

Generally works, but some flaws
I used this to intervene successfully when a new battery was fitted. Just recently, tried to do a static DPF regeneration but was not so succesful. Also, tried to update software unsuccessfully.Some observations:1) Updating software: Plugging the unit into my laptop caused the unit to show a blank screen and sound a loud-pitched squeal. Got past this by plugging unit into car first, then into the PC.2) Newest version of software easy to find on internet. However, the loading software on my Windows 10 PC would not connect to the unit whatever I did. (Found the same error reported even if no unit plugged in at all.) Given up on software update.3) Usage in car: Top-tip is to allow the unit to connect first using the generic OBDC interface. The Ford-specific functions work a lot better when the communication protocol has been established via OBDC.4) Could not get the Regen DPF to work. The unit carefully steps through the process, but at one step says that it is fetching error codes. Progress halted and then "Communications failed".5) The helpline is responsive, but I couldn't get past this.So, generally a satisfactory unit for Ford investigation, but marred because software can't be updated and DPF regeneration can't be initiated. That's my experience anyway - perhaps I am doing something wrong!

Great bit of kit for ford vehicles
Great bit of kit used it today to put car into maintenance mode for electronic rear brakes so I could change rear brake discs and pads on my. 2017 Ford Edge sport so easy to do
