What are the 2 tabs on the bottom in the front for

They don’t have any function I’m aware of, and Ive been using this for a while now. It’s a solid hard hat. I work with a bunch of guys that have the same one and we all get asked where we got it. You’ll be happy with it.

Is this hat puncture resistant? Like if you're working in an attic with a lot of protruding nails above you.

Yes, to a degree, depending on the thrust. This will definitely prevent your skull from being punctured. Recommend a metal or Kevlar liner for you, if thus is your line of work.

You say there are no vents, then why does the description say "vented"?

Mine didn’t come with vents or the openings for the ear muffs.
