I love Halloween, children’s books, and diversity/representation in those topics! This book does at excellent job at all three. The illustrations are fresh, with fun hidden aspects to go back and look for after the first read through (like a second little story) and nothing is too scary or too silly. The story has a fun rhyme to read out loud and my toddler loved reading it over and over and over, I loved seeing more to love as I read it over, and over, and over :)

They story was cute and the artwork is cool. It walks through picking a pumpkin and carving it with loved ones and then setting it up for the season. I did have to request a replacement, though. As soon as I opened it, the book pages separated from the cover/backing :( I ordered the paperback version instead of the hardcover. IDK if that makes a difference. But I am looking forward to reading this to my child once the replacement comes in.

Just what I was looking for! This book has beautiful illustrations and is appealing to a wide age range. My toddler enjoyed it and so does my 2 grader. My bigs even peep by to catch a listen when I’m reading! Great pick for family read aloud, you won’t mind reading multiple times to eager listeners! Mom of 8 stamp of approval!

Hard cover and big size book. Bought this for my kiddos first Halloween and started writing down her Halloween costume for each year on the inside cover. It’s a nice little keepsake. Also perfect for my kiddos Halloween bookshelf.

Such a cute book to read the month of October! Got my 1 and 2 year old exciting for the pumpkin farm and helped them to understand the process. Not sure why people in previous reviews said that the images were too scary. Not the case at all unless your child is completely sheltered from the entire world. My children understood that people were dressed in spooky costumes. Don’t hesitate to get this one, will definitely be tradition to read every year and I will also be purchasing the authors other book called “Pick a Tree” for the holidays!

Absolutely love the story and illustrations! But pay the extra money for the hardcover, the paper one broke when we opened the book to read it

Cute book and beautiful pictures but it’s a rhyming book...sort of. It’s got awkward rhyming and rhythm to it. I had a hard time reading it only because you get in a pattern of reading and then the sentences all the sudden don’t rhyme. Otherwise it’s a cute book.
