Arm & Hammer Tartar Control Dog Dental Kit, Beef Flavor, 3-Piece

My dogs like the taste, which makes it pretty painless to brush their teeth. I have two german shepherds who don't have the best breathe. I can't say that this has improved the smell of their breathe, but I feel better about their oral hygiene knowing that they're getting brushed. Two double sided brush w/ two different sizes is appreciated!

I've been a bit skeptical about this product for a year or two now, finally decided to give it ago. As a note, the directions say to SLOWLY get your dog used to it. Let them lick it off your finger, then put it on their teeth before moving to the tooth brush usage, I do wish they would be a bit more specific about it, because it seems like maybe for a week you'd want to use your finger on their teeth then move to the tooth brush because it's not something you wanna rush into. Must have patience with your dogs! Both of my dogs enjoy the taste of the Beef, but if I were to describe the smell I'd say it has the smell of the cheapest wet dog food you could buy. (One dog makes this awful face but she still eats it, so I believe the texture bothers her a lot since she seems to be okay with the flavor - that's something to consider if your dog doesn't like it! It could be a texture thing!) The smell is better than if they have horrid "dragon breath" if you will, but it's not particularly pleasant either. The only thing I have a huge complaint about, is the tooth brushes for the dogs. They are much too firm & large for small dogs. They might be okay for larger dogs, but we have 2 Chihuahua/Terrier mixes and I find that both sides are just too large and the bristles are much too firm for them. We will be buying small extra soft bristle brushes for them, and it's something I also recommend considering if you have small dogs. The finger brush included is also meant for medium/large size dogs as well...This just isn't a very friendly small dog set, but I'm happy to have the toothpaste for the pups.

Whoever created the beef "flavor" to pair with mint is a sadist. Neither my dog nor I enjoyed it. Everything else seems fine but don't get the beef unless you want to vomit

This has been good for brushing our rescue dog's teeth. It has a funny smell to it (and perhaps a funny taste), and she doesn't enjoy tooth brushing time as much as with the minty toothpastes we have used in the past, but we think it seems to be pretty effective in getting daily buildup off her teeth.

This is a good value pack. As well as the toothpaste you have a choice of a normal toothbrush and a finger toothbrush, so you can use whichever your dog prefers. If you are cleaning your dog's teeth for the first time this is handy as dogs will tend to prefer one type over another and this gives you the opportunity to try both. The toothpaste is beef flavoured and although my dog is not keen on having her teeth cleaned, she does like the taste of this toothpaste. This makes the process a little bit easier.

Mein Hund mag leider das Zähneputzen nicht gut, mag aber den Geschmack der Zahnpasta. Ich finde es mit der Zahnbürste leichter, da die weicher ist. Der Fingerhut ist mir zu groß und zu klobig...

It arrived as expected. we find that because we have a small dog, the finger brush is a bit big for him, but we've managed to do a few cleans. He doesn't actually like the flavour and recoils at the smell slightly, so we mix it with peanut butter so we can get it in!
