Cheap price, cheap product.
For the price this is a decent case, but I have had several problems with it. The strap on mine broke and I had to replace it. Thankfully I wasn't riding my motorcycle at the time and it fell off when I went to leave the pool hall. That happened pretty early on. After a year of use it is starting to really come apart. The vinyl has ripped on the bottom and is threatening to tear away from where the straps attach to the case. The rips also started early on, but as you can see have gotten much worse to the point where I am afraid to use the case. You can see in the pictures that it is structurally weak, and the vinyl is tearing even in non stress areas like the pockets. If you use it often I wouldn't trust it to protect your cues. The only thing it has going for it is the price.I went ahead and ordered a JB rugged case since these cheaper cases just don't last.

I don't understand all the good reviews. I've had this case 6 months
I don't understand all the good reviews. I've had this case 6 months. The shoulder strap is not attached to the bottom and constantly slides off. The case so cheaply built my two shafts have worn holes through the bottom. If you play pool regularly you will be disappointed.09-24-17 update this is one of the worst purchases I ever made. The cue stick wore holes through this cheaply made piece of garbage see the photo. The case is leaning against the dumpster where I tossed it out!

It's decent
Always insert the narrow end of your cues. The rubber butt of my cues pulled the lining out of one of the holes and it became a nuisance. Nothing that some needle-nosed pliers and scissors couldn't make better but it was a pain. The pockets slide around a lot too. The handle is not firm or in a balanced spot so is kind of useless. If your budget allows, spend more money considering that and you'll be happier. Straps are adjustable and very tight. Hard mold is solid and I don't worry about the cues safety if someone steps/sits on this case. The big pocket is large enough to fit a claw which comes in handy when I'm out shooting.

but it's a $500 stick and very nice. I also have a cheap one that is ...
Everything comes down to a yes or no, this is a yes. The shoulder strap at the bottom did seem to be an issue recently, but I believe it is because of how I've carried the case. I forget what my stick is, but it's a $500 stick and very nice. I also have a cheap one that is straight that I carry for friends. Both fit fairly well, but I did put napkins in the top of the case to help keep the sticks more secure. My sticks are both a little loose in the case, but it isn't an issue. I checked everywhere, this case was the best price for descent quality as of early 2016.

Flimsy and short
I was hoping for a bit of a miracle in snagging a nice $40 case, but you can't escape "you get what you paid for". The entire thing is extremely thin material and I'm positive it wouldn't last long. Even the carry strap is quite thin and narrow. At best, I'd say this would last a year or so in regular use. And even that's probably being generous. Also, the overall length is pretty small. I couldn't get my cues to fit in the case. My shortest one (a Players break cue) would only fit without the joint protector and if pushed the bottom out a fair amount. Then the top would close and zip. But I realized that since the bottom moves there isn't any padding down there. The outside of the case literally bulged out where the cue poked it which is just demanding to get ripped out eventually. In the end, I returned this and am going to try a more expensive one. Unfortunately, I really like the layout of this case and couldn't find the 4-wide arrangement elsewhere. Guess I'll keep searching for the perfect case. or at least a usable one.

Almost perfect budget case
I got the green and black case, which has the flat style I wanted: cue holes are in a line and case is not oval. Protection is very good, material seems like it will hold up. The pockets and shoulder strap are sewn on rather than strapped on like similar cases in this price range. Only the handle uses Velcro straps to mount to the case. This was a big plus for me after reading about other cases having the straps come off. (Though strap mounting points on this case are likely the weak points.)Not sure how the other colors and layouts differ from above. The one negative about this case is that it did not fit my playing cue. I could get the case zipped with my break cue (cheap one ordered on Amazon for <40usd), but the butt of my playing cue was slightly longer and wouldn't work. Couldn't close the case.I wanted to make the case work, so I gently pulled out the section in the lid, drilled holes for the butt joints (there is additional room in the lid piece that allows for this. I don't know why it wasn't used in design), and used a cut out piece of thin black plastic for backing. Everything fits perfectly now, but buyers should know that modification is necessary. At this price point, I only deducted one star. But it could be a deal breaker if bought by someone unwilling to modify, or given as a gift.

This is a nice case for the price.
Was not sure about this purchase, the reviews about it being pulled about and to short made me wonder if I wanted it. But it is fine, my 2 pool sticks fit in the case and as for its durability, it works for me, I only take it from the closed to the pool hall and back. Not needed in any bar fights.I am sure leather would have been better, but the price for leather was more than my stick.

Decent for the price, colors not as advertised, holes a little big
Ordered the Red/Black. As others have pointed out (didnt see it before) it isn't red. The color is more burgandy/wine. Had I seen the reviews stating this I probably would have selected a different color. However, I'm not too disappointed. The case is wider than I thought it would be but also not a deal breaker. The holes are a bit larger than they really should be and they allow the cue too much movement. Hopefully, this doesn't lead to premature wear on the finish. I would recommend putting the bolt end up to prevent holes being worked into the bottom, as some pictures show. The storage pockets are the perfect size for chalk and my cue multi-tool. The case appears to be decent enough quality for the price. Assuming it holds up to gentle use, I don't see regretting the purchase and I would recommend it. Should the case start to fall apart I will modify my rating to reflect.
