Bissell Easy Vac Bagless Upright Vacuum

Had purchased previously a Dirt Devil stick "vacuum". Not a vacuum as indicated (false advertising) but a sweeper.So I find this Bissell Easy Vac Bagless Upright Vacuum. I am a senior citizen who has difficulty vacuuming with a heavier vacuum. Well wouldn't you know, when received it was the same as the Dirt Devil. Not a vacuum as stated but could be only used as a sweeper. The vacuum head only has this little tiny slot for picking dirt. About 2 inches long and a 1/3 inch wide. Not a vacuum.

After reading countless reviews I decided to purchase this vacuum. I liked the bag less feature and its size. Overall assembly was also easy. Now when it comes to its main purpose this product works extremely well on tile. As for carpet that's a different story. Pushing and pulling it on rugs and carpets of different sizes was like pulling someone through quicksand! Effortlessly glides doesn't apply with the vacuum hits carpet. No height adjustment option available but I guess it's understandable at the price. I wouldn't purchase again if given a redo.

This 'compact' vacuum from Bissell is basically a waste of money. Sometimes you do get cheap if you pay cheap and this is one of those cases. During relocation to another state, I had to get rid of quite a lot of items to save room in our shipping container and my awesome older Hoover was one that had to go.On arriving to our new home, I didn't have the budget at the time to get the expensive vacuum I really wanted as a replacement. I figured since I mostly have bare floors and a bit of rug, I could skimp on price and just get something. WRONG! To cut straight to it, here are the MAJOR issues with this little thing that make me cuss the entire time I'm trying to vacuum and I'm not one to cuss.(1) The hose is FAR TOO SHORT. You literally have to keep one hand on the handle or carry the whole vacuum while using the hose because the vacuum will constantly fall over on you. It falls over constantly on me and dumps dirt and dust right back out on the floor. This tiny hose barely reaches anywhere at all. The ONLY positive on the hose is that it has great suction (better than the suction in the upright position sadly).(2) In the upright position, there is a TON of air blow-back that if you have any papers lying about on a table or anything light, they will blow all over the place.(3) There are no settings for carpet, bare floors, etc. I don't have a lot of rug but I can tell the suction on the rug is by far better than the suction on the bare floors. I still have to go over spots on the rug multiple times to get it to pick up.(4) Super noisy! My fiancée commented that it was the noisiest vacuum he's ever heard and he rarely pays attention to things like that.(5) The canister MUST be emptied every vacuum or even before you finish the entire house. The only real positive on it is that it is VERY EASY TO TAKE APART AND CLEAN.(6) Stairs? FORGET IT! In the upright position, there is barely any suction at all to do stairs and if you try and use the hose attachment, there is no head for it so the small suction opening on the hose will have to do to clean the entire surface area of each stair while using one hand to hold on to the damn vacuum- no good!It does come with a 2 year warranty but it's not even been a year and I want to get rid of ALL of its parts.All in all, I have buyers remorse.

I purchased this at Wal-Mart today (sorry Amazon but I wanted instant gratification) for $39.98. I thought for the price what harm could it be right? Worst case is I will return it. So I will, tomorrow. Here is why-I was looking to replace two stick vacs that no longer keep a charge. I have a very capable Kenmore canister vac that is used way too frequently to keep up after 2 kids, a dog and 4 cats oh and my husband of course ;) So I am looking for something corded and lightweight to grab hair and cat litter as well as anything we drag in. This would work perfect if I was as bald as my husband and so were my kids, cats and dog. The top part of the "cyclonic" dust cup is where all of my household hair ended up. Well there is no easy way to clean this without getting out my big vacuum as this does not release from the vacuum for cleaning. Hmmm, not why I wanted this. So if you are looking for great suction of basic dust, DG, sand etc, buy it! It has tons of suction!!! But if you have hair in the house, pass on it. May go for that stick vac after all...

Like a lot of other reviews, I just picked this up at a big box store half the price. Because of the low price, I was't expecting much, and figured I could always return it. I was pleasantly surprised!! I love this vac! Excellent suction, light weight, compact size, nice long cord. Unlike what another reviewer said, the "dust cup" is completely removable, and it's easy to remove. Definitely a good buy!

I bought this at Walmart it was a great price, but the thing is so loud I cannot use it and it is very cheaply made! I hate it

I use a central vac system that came with the house. It's heavy, awkward and the hose curls so I was looking for something lightweight. I saw this on Amazon and was considering it until I was shopping at Walmart. There was the same vacuum for $34.48! Can't beat the price and it actually picks up hair and fluff better than my Beam central vac. Love it.
