Must Have Supplement
Zinc is the only supplement that you can tell if you're deficient as you take it. If it's tasteless when you take, you are lacking. As you start to get your levels up, you will get a taste when taking. Good price, great quality. Highly recommend.

It works!
I had been taking zinc orotate tablets once per day for several months and wanted to test to see if I was still zinc deficient after a hair test that indicated I was low. I read about how to test your zinc levels with liquid zinc in the book, "The Mood Cure". When the bottle first arrived and I took the Aqueous Zinc test, it mostly tasted like water after holding it in my mouth for 10 seconds. After supplementing with 2 teaspoons several times per week and now that the bottle is half gone, I tried the 10 second test again and there is definitely a bitter mineral taste now. I have also been taking Chlorophyll 1 to 2 times a week which contains copper to keep the zinc/copper balance as neither supplement included copper.

Testing for Zinc status? This is a good option.
This stuff works. That is.. if the reason you got it was to test your Zinc status. I've experimented with different zinc supplements, eventually switching to a "more absorbable" variety. After a couple weeks of taking this other supplement; testing this with a teaspoon in your mouth for 10-seconds, it gradually began to have the metallic taste that indicates a sufficient zinc quantity.Also. My father recently discontinued a blood-pressure medication that has an inhibitory affect on zinc absorption... after a month of intermittent BP medication usage he began to experience head aches. After arguing for him to sample this, he eventually did - and noticed he could barely keep from spitting it out it tasted so horrid. It appears that no longer having the BP medications inhibitory zinc absorption effect lead to a zinc and possibly copper imbalance. He has since discontinued Zinc supplementation and the headaches have abated.

Toddler takes with no problems
My toddler has been using this for couple months now and happy to see I can get this from amazon at a good price. My son's pediatrician loves and carries this brand in their office. I would comment on taste but truly, taste is going to be subjective depending on whether you have a deficiency or not. I know my son takes it ike a champ (so tastes like water as he won't take anything other than water or breast milk) indicating he does have a deficiency. One should always consult a doctor when supplementing please. Our son's blood test showed deficiency after I didn't want to rely on the "taste test", ha.

Works well for test
This was great for determining a severe zinc deficiency. I had no idea I could be THAT low but I’m glad to know now! Since it tastes like water currently, I’ll have no problem supplementing this daily. Excited to eventually get that metallic taste and a healthier body full of adequate zinc.

Have enough zinc?
well, it tasted like water meaning it had no taste. Which is what the article I read said would happen if I was very low on zinc. If it tasted horrible, I would have enough zinc. Maybe it is just water? I think it is the real deal and I am just low on zinc.
