Eh- we have tried many brands of knee pads. My daughter has played since 6-7 grade and is now a 10th grader in HS. Was an OH but plays Libero now so her knees take a beating. These are just ok. The Nahdeh gel knee pads are much better but they unfortunately had a manufacturing issue and we can't get them until Fall 2017, so we are using these as a stop gap. Can't wait to get back in Nahdeh's and out of these!

Not good
Smallest knee pads I've ever worn for a large. They still technically covered my knees, so I figured I'd just wear them and see how it went. They are not only too small, they are NOT durable! All it took was a few digs and the fabric has begun tearing - I've worn them maybe a total of 6 times. I took a big dive last week and slid about 4-5 feet on a gym floor....and learned the fabric has the capability of melting when exposed to that kind of friction. The shiny areas on the knee pads in the photo are where the fabric has melted into a plastic type material. You can see at the bottom also, that the fabric just wore off completely, exposing the elastic underneath. As icing on the cake, they really didn't protect my knees and I've collected a number of floor burns and bruises to prove it. I've been playing for years and have never encountered this issue before. If I had kids, I wouldn't trust these to protect them. Never buying them again.

Large is too small
Large is too tight and uncomfortable for an average size 6 foot tall male. If you're any bigger, don't bother. Too bad there's no XL

Nice Pads
This are probably one of the shortest kneepads around, but I've gotten used to it and like it. My previous pair were the large 'international' pads, so these are a lot more streamlined. As instructed on the package, you wear these lower than what I was used to. The top of the pad is just covers your kneecap. The large size fits my big fat male legs just fine.

Good Low Profile Pads
Been playing volleyball for years now, and I've never worn any pads because being on my knees and diving was not a big part of my game. When I finally decided to invest in a pair of knee pads just for the heck of it, I was looking for something non-restricting, low profile, that did not impinge on my movement as speed/quickness and the ability to jump are the main factors of my game. These mizuno pads does the trick really well. They are so light and provide decent enough protection for players that are light and nimble and do not spend a lot of time on their knees. I ordered a size Medium in Black, and they fit nicely, not too tight. If you fall in between sizes, you might want to try for the bigger size as the pads tend to be a little tight. Sizing from what I can find out:Small - 13.5" or lessMedium - 13.5" to 15.5"Large - 15.5" or moreI would recommend these pads for players who are seeking something with low restrictions on movement and do not spend a lot of time on their knees. If you're a player who dives, gets on the floor to dig a lot of passes, and bang up your knees frequently, then these pads may not provide enough protection for your knees.

little ones
They were not what I expected, i have always used Asics, and so I choose an "M" which usually fits me, my knees are thin, and I am more than standard in Height, but these ones are very short and very tight, I gave them to someone really really thin, who uses another pad below it,,,

Why do I have all of these bruises?
A-leve adult male setter here that could probably play DS as well and have been regularly playing since HS. When I first bought these I was enamored with them with how well they fit and how snug they felt without feeling uncomfortable or bulky. I was about to give it 5 stars on Amazon! But then I decided, let's try them out for a few weeks first. So, I dive a lot when I play (just my scrappy nature) and I noticed that after practically every session with these knee pads, I have bruises all over the areas of my knees where the knee pads are supposed to protect. So...not sure how functional these things really are. They help prevent the burns from skidding on the floor, but I've come to realize that they don't protect so well against impact like my previous generic knee pads. For less scrappy adult players, these pads are probably fine, but I am probably going to begin looking for another pair that has better impact protection.

Nice and simple
Seriously, these knee pads are awesome. My nine-year-old uses them to play basketball (which isn't the same as volleyball I suspect). These fit well, and relatively low profile, and look good for his sport. He's played in about four or five tournaments wearing them and so far they are holding up just fine. What else do you need?
