Pretty much perfect for this market
I have long been on the hunt for my perfect wireless headphones. The criteria being a pair i can use equally for leisure and the gym, the highest sound quality possible but sweatproofing and the convenience needed for workouts.Over many years i have owned all different types making the claim to be the ideal solution. I have had:2 pairs of Jaybirds - Freedom Sprint and Freedom wireless - The exercise side of them great, and lasted longest (before dying) out of any brand i have tried, but at the expense of sound quality, I find generally Jaybirds lack in terms of range and spaceDenon Exercise freak - Great sound (heavy bass, which i love) but died after about 3 usesOptoma Nuforce BE6 - The best sound i have had from wireless, but died after a short period of useOptoma Nuforce BE3 Sport - As above, questionable sweat proofingI was about to purchase the Sennheiser sport offering, when i saw an advert for the Rockjaw T5s. I hadn't heard of these guys before, so did some homework and it seemed like they were worth investigating. Reviews of the T5s were solid and Amazon has a great returns policy.I have had the headphones about a month now, i have held off reviewing as i was expecting these to die, claims of sweatproofing in the past have often left me dissapointed, so after about 20 hours of use now, i feel i am able to form a decent opinion. So,Positives: Audio is great, comparable to the Optoma headsets. Decent Bass, great definition in the mids and top end a wide soundstage. Definitely some of the better sounding headphones i have triedBuild is great, nice metal earpieces that feel very high qualityNo issues with connecting to my phoneSweatproofing is holding upBattery lasts ages - not sure i have witnessed the 11 hours claimed, but cant be far offNegatives:The connecting wire is a bit long. It houses the battery and volume control, and can pull a little if running say. As the headphones are only held in by the buds, they can slip out if really sweatyNo ear connections - other manufacturers provide ear fins or hooks to hold headphones in, this would have been a nice addition, but as the earpieces are light this isnt a major issueReliance on the ear buds - i like Comply tips, but they dont last long. You can get chinese knock offs on ebay that work just as well, but the headphones do rely on this sort of foam earbud to stay put, which regularly need replacing after little use, which is a bit annoyingCharging notification - there isnt anything that lets you know how much battery is left. There is a beep notification as it starts to run out, but an app or something would be niceThese still dont really compare to wired headphones in terms of Audio quality, but its not far off, and as an all round package, i think these are hard to beat.****13/7/2020 - headphones still very much going strong after a year of use. Battery is still good and I have experienced no issues with the headphones

great price for an amazing quality
I have been using these daily for the past month for work and for running.I am pretty much spending my days on conference calls and I had no issues with sounds quality, both to hear and be heard.Pairing is very easy and solid, if you follow the instructions it is easy to pair with several devices. The sound quality is great, and it is nice to be able to customise them by selecting filters (bass, balanced or treble). The Comfy ear tips are great, fit nicely, and do not fall - I used them to run (pretty much every day for at least 5K). I prefer to still be able to hear the outside world a bit and these are great.Canceling noise enough to focus while working and running but still allowing you to hear if a car is coming!Last but not least the battery life is amazing. Pretty much using them for 10hours non-stop and never had an issue. I charge the battery in the evening and then good to go.

British engineered... more like British Leyland!
So... disappointed in the extreme.I have used these most days for exercise, and after a month the battery has decided it only wants to last 40mins. I ve charged up to the max, until the light is blue and then only get 40 mins out of it. Furthermore the right headphone has static in the earpiece which is rather annoying too. This happens every time, deeply unhappyThat said, before the headphones went rogue on me the sound was very good.

Best earphones I've tried, bluetooth or otherwise, at a great price
I have been a satisfied user of Rock Jaw's Alfa Genus V2 earphones, but I've moved on to bluetooth for the past year. Sadly, there was no bluetooth offering from Rock Jaw, so I've tried a variety of "true wireless" bluetooth earphones and bluetooth headphones featuring active noise reduction. As you can imagine, I was very happy to hear the news that Rock Jaw had produced a new model of bluetooth earphones, at a very reasonable price. The packaging immediately tells you that this is a premium product (despite the price). The earphones have an interesting design. The battery is part of the unit, but not built into the earpieces. Although the battery itelf is light in weight, it has a relatively large capacity. I much prefer this design to other earphones I have tried, which come in a charging case and only allow around two hours of continuous use before having to be charged again. This design is much more convenient, and the battery is charged using a USB C connection. The earphones have IPX5 water resistance protection. The build quality of the earphones is excellent, and they are very light and comfortable to wear.As far as sound quality goes, this is definitely the best I have tried. The earphones come, as other Rock Jaw earphones do, with three pairs of tuning filters (silver for increased bass response, black for increased treble response, gold as a natural filter). It is worth experimenting with these. My favourite is the silver filter. As a bonus, the pack also includes three pairs of Comply ear buds (small, medium, large), as well as the standard silicon ear buds. This gives a good opportunity to try these ear buds and to decide which size best suits you. The earphones don't include active noise cancellation, but to be frank this isn't required as the Comply ear buds block out the outside world very effectively.I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I spend a lot of time commuting and listening to podcasts, audiobooks, and music. These earphones perform great no matter what you are listening to. Elvis Costello's "I Want You" (from the album "Blood & Chocolate") is my standard track to test earphones and headphones, and it sounds amazing with these. As a side note, customer service from Rock Jaw is fantastic. I posted a question on their web site, and got an almost immediate email asking if I had a phone number they could contact me on. On providing that, one of their engineers called me (again, within a few minutes), and we had a very pleasant chat.I have no problem with recommending these earphones (or any of Rock Jaw's products). They are a fairly small company, with a passion for excellence and attention to detail that the big guns in this industry would do well to emulate.
