SATIN SMOOTH Student Wax Kit

So many other wax warmers out there only have a few settings, and none of them are quite right for me. This one has 12 settings - though I usually hover around the 3rd setting myself. I love that it has built in cord storage as well. For me, the wax warmer is the main draw of this kit. It works very well, and warms up fairly quickly (20 minutes or so). I mostly use this with DIY sugar wax, and it works great for that.As for the extras, the applicators are nice and I do appreciate the variety of sizes here. The included bottles are a nice bonus as well. The lotion "Satin Hydrate", has a slight flowery smell, and basically feels like hand lotion. "Satin Cool" is basically aloe vera gel, and while I don't see it's relation to waxing, it's great to have around for sunburns and such. The "Satin Cleanse" is okay - it's too watery for my taste, and I prefer foaming cleansers, but it does seem to remove residue and leave the skin smoother. The "Satin Release" is meant to be a wax remover, and features some great ingredients such as soybean oil, sunflower oil, and almond oil. That being said, it didn't work to remove the wax included in this kit (because the wax is awful), but I did find other uses for it.The wax included in this kit is AWFUL. I don't understand the praises here at all. It's a soft wax (for those who were wondering), but is very sticky and hard to spread, even on the lowest temperature. It's also VERY difficult to remove if you spill any somewhere on accident. I don't particularly like the strips either, as I find them kind of flimsy and that you have to bend one end over to make a "handle" and get a firm enough grip to rip it off your skin. Personally, I use strips of vinyl instead. I also find that the bottles used for the extras are too hard and thus difficult to squeeze.Overall, I do like this kit, but mostly for the versatile wax warmer. Do not buy this for the wax or the strips IMO. The extras that come in the bottle have surprisingly quality ingredients and I did like those as well.

I received this kit from a friend who purchased it at Cosmoprof, (A store for licensed hair dressers and estheticians), and love it. My teenagers wanted a kit so I bought this same kit for them from Amazon for Christmas.Besides the fact it was the same price, you got less wax strips and applicators in this kit than the one I received from Cosmoprof. I don't know if this kit was used and returned or just bad, but two of the bottles, the oil wax remover and aloe didn't have the safety seal under the cap and the wax was old and crystallized. I thought maybe once it heated up it would melt, but it did not. We tried to use it anyway and it just clumped, didn't apply well and when you pulled the wax strip, it didn't remove all the wax and the wax it did remove, did not pull out any hair. I do know from all of the wax I have received over the years from the store, this one was not right. I need more wax and stores are closed right now, but I am very hesitant to purchase anything else wax wise from Amazon. My advice, purchase your kit and supplies from someone else.

Every container had leaked in the box. Everything was greasy. The box was a complete mess not to mention the loss I took in the bottles which was at least 50% or more for each bottle. Definitely not worth what I paid for.... seems lately as a prime member that my orders are not spot on as usual

I had this same wax pot which I gave to my daughter when she moved out so I ordered another one om here. It arrived a complete mess. The box was completely soaked from all the starter oil and cleansers leaking out. Pretty much lost half of all the bottles and seller did not respond to my message. After cleaning all the oil off the wax pot I wanted to test it to made sure it worked. The pot heated but the wax was complete garage. I've always used satin smooth wax and never had a problem. I don't know if it was a bad batch or what but it about ripped my skin off. Didn't even bother to return because I couldn't repack in the original container. Had to go out and buy a new wax which is fine. May be best to just buy this at the store.

I haven’t tried it yet but just received it today. Packaging was good, no leaks or anything but I ordered this expecting the original wax and received the ultra sensitive (silver cap) even though pictures show the original which comes with a purple lid. I hope the ultra sensitive works as well as the original. I’ve used the original many times because my mom has it and really like it.

Tired of spending $60 on a bikini wax I started doing it myself a couple years ago. I've always used the microwaveable wax, although I've tried cold waxes. wax strips, and just about everything else. I wanted something to keep the wax warm and save me trips to the kitchen. I was surprised how painless this wax was and how thoroughly it removed the hairs.And I have stubborn hair. Other waxes would require several applications to remove all the hairs in an area. One pass with this wax, and my skin was bare. I've tried waxes for sensitive skin that were more painful than this wax. Immediately after waxing, there was no pain or sensitivity to hot water. I liked all extra bottles of lotions and oils. One improvement would be a collar for the warmer. I used it without one and it was fine, but over time I'm sure it would save clean up. I wouldn't recommend using cotton balls for the wax removal oil. It requires a little rubbing and the cotton balls leave strings. A washcloth worked better. I'm very pleased and won't be needing to try any new waxes.

I was so scared that my pox would be saturated with the product because alot of buyers had that problem .love the product love the wax machine . just cross ur fingers and hope ur package comes with tight lids
