It has a bit of an after taste. I then tried it with some Himalayan salt and it was as a better combo though there still was a slight aftertaste. My blood pressure though is greatly improved cutting down on sodium so if you have that problem try the Nu Salt, but go easy on it because of the aftertaste or if you can try going without any kind of salt might be better. I made DIY electrolyte powder to control the sodium in it. So far so good, no cramping and my blood pressure remains good. I switched over from salt and use this to add to food as well as cooking with it. IT does taste a little different than salt. If I was to venture a guess in to how it tastes different, I'd say it tastes juicier(?) than salt. Four stars since if it is anywhere near moisture it turns into a block.
