STV International Defenders Mole Tunnel Trap

If you like to catch a mole and then have it pull itself out and get away this is the trap for you. I had a mole move in around the house. I set this trap and went around the other side of the house to set more traps. I then came back to where I set the first trap and it was already trippedI pulled the trap out of the ground with a very live mole in it. I ran around the house to get something to finish it off with. When I got back it was already gone. I saw a hole about 5 feet away where it went backIn the run.I then got my trusty out of sight mole trap and set it the exact spot .The next morning I had the exact mole dead in the trap.If you want to catch moles and not let them get away use the out of sight trap

Yeah I caught a mole after a week, but the little aluminum 'trap initiators' that activate the trap are easily bent. And avoid telling family how much dirt will be displaced when inserting the trap. The hole I caught this sucker was at least 5inches below = surplus of dirt (which clogs the trap if it rains). I recommend a light dusting to cover the trap then a 5 gallon bucket over it or something. It is less of a finger hazard than some others though!

A year later and it still hasn't trapped a mole yet.

Watch your fingers with these. Tough to set.

It's a bit of work to get it in, if it works, then I dont mind that...but we have not caught the mole. :(

Really difficult to set. Would not buy it again

This trap is way too hard to set. It has sharp metal edges that dig into your hands while trying to push down on the top bar. Then while pressing this down, you somehow have to maneuver the trip bar over the top while trying to hold down the top bar which has a strong spring. Then you have to try to do the other side. Sometimes the ring separates from the top bar, and you have to start over. I've watched several videos on setting these, but I still can't do it.. You have to have fingers of steel to do this. It shouldn't be this difficult. Heaven forbid you finger gets in the loop and it springs back. Losing or breaking a finger while setting this trap is not worth it. The design is bare minimum. I'd rather pay more for something designed for a mere mortal to set.

Works great - check out my double catch! But use with patience... it doesn't work every time, which is not your fault.

I got them speedily and am waiting for some new mole action, haven't used them yet, they are of good quality.

Moles. Them as don't have them think they're the gentle velvet jacketed home loving creatures from Wind in the Willows.
