What you see is pretty much what you get
What you see is pretty much what you get. It's a decent bag, but there are a couple of flaws. The padded divider for the largest compartment is actually too large to fit properly, and the integrated Velcro strap can't reach over the top to contact the Velcro pad. The velcro pad for the vanity patch is too small to be useful. The top buckle strap seems to be decorative, as I can't find any reason for it to be there.I do like the many attachment points on the sides, but I wish there were some on the back of the bag. The side pouches seem small at first, but I'm actually able to fit an umbrella into either side. Plenty of pockets and plenty of space for everyday use, without being so bulky it's burdensome.

Fits underneath all AIRPLANE SEATS
I fly frequently between Seattle and Tampa (5 - 6 hr flight), and was looking for a bag small enough to fit under the Economy and Business class seats in front of me, without laying it on its side, kicking it to try and fit it under the seat. I need the bag upright, and its contents accessible throughout the flight.THIS BAG IS THE ONLY BAG that has worked for me. I've tried briefcases, sling backpacks, regular backpacks, soft-sided messengers (the kind that flap over the top and clip). None worked well. THIS BAG fits under all three seats in front of me (aisle, middle, window) on the following airlines, regardless of whether there's power at the seat or not: Alaska, United, Delta, American. I'm guessing it will fit under the other carriers' seats as well. The bag is messenger style, and will stand up without assistance, though it's not hard-sided, and will still have enough smoosh factor if you want to cram it for some reason.UPON BEING SEATED: I unzip the two main compartments' top zippers so my laptop, water bottles, tablet(s) and snacks are available. I slide it under the seat ahead of me, and throughout the flight, I slide it back out towards me between my feet and rummage through the well-laid-out compartments, with everything at my fingertips. I don't have to fight with the bag or seat frames to slide it out. This also makes for easy disembarking when we land.THE FULLY LOADED BAG is narrow enough and short enough (width and height) to fit without cramming. Even though the length of the bag doesn't fit flush under the seat, and does stick out about an inch into your foot area, I never need to try and push it harder underneath when someone from the window or middle seat need to get out for a bathroom run. They can step past without avoiding the bag. The small side compartments don't hinder the bag from sliding in and out from under the seat.LEG ROOM: I can barely-almost-maybe fit one size 11 foot to the side of the fully-loaded bag when it's underneath the seat, but not both feet. If I want to stretch out my 5'11" frame, I pull the bag out from under the seat, and rotate it up against the underside of my own seat so lays behind my calves, and I still have a lot of room for stretching out, without having the bag push up under my legs, or shove my calves forward much at all.WHAT I FIT INTO THE BAG...: In the two main compartments, I have 2 upright water bottles (20oz for coffee and 24oz for water), huge bag of snacks (several protein bars, sandwich bag full of mixed nuts, couple apples, couple bananas, couple small muffins), my 13.3" Microsoft Book 2 laptop and my 9" iPad. In the second compartment, I have my Galaxy Tab E, Bose noise cancelling headphones (folded), and a small soft-sided zippered make-up bag that I use as a pouch for various charger cables). The side pockets contain my Note 8 (big) cell phone, business cards, pens, Fitbit, small bottle of hand sanitizer, wet wipes, portable battery backup, earplugs, keys, and a few other little items. If you fly, this thing is perfect for clearing security too, as those outer pockets can be quickly accessed to drop keys, phones, coins, etc into quickly if you find yourself next in line for the xray machine, but forgot to empty your pockets ;)

Barbarians Tactical Laptop Bag-Poorly constructed
Purchased as a laptop bag, the construction is poor primarily on the seams. The inner shell has torn as well as the velcro side of the handle. This is all with normal usage to and from work. The adage of you get what you pay for is apparently accurate, but I did expect the bag to last more than a month. It's unfortunate as I like the bag's layout and size.
