GHS GBXL Nickel Plated Steel Electric Guitar Strings, 9-42

I used to be a Fender strings supporter. Still do like them for their chiminess on my Squier's, especially. But after using a set of GHS 10's on my LP copy, I may just have switched preferences! Used a set of GHS 9's on a Squier Bullet - which is a typical beginner grade electric - and it really sounds great! Nice, sweet highs, and the low notes and power chords have a nice cutting edge to them. So far, they seem very durable, and I could feel a difference in touch quality even as I was stringing the guitar! The price was right, too, I might add.

I bought these on recommendation from someone I purchased an electric guitar from. He said it was what he uses on all his electrics. They are smooth and easy to bend with a good overall sound. I have two more sets of these in my shopping cart right now. Good quality strings at a nice low price.

The best strings in my opinion

Best strings for my husband’s guitars. Great length, easy to use, and last longer. They bend and flex as they should. The tension is great!

I put a set of these on my Yamaha Electric guitar.. They are OK. Maybe not the best, but then I didn't $25.00 a set for them, either.! Being so light, they are bright, and bring the highs right up front.! Maybe too much, but when playing a lead riff, I want my highs to stand out, and these DO STAND OUT.! I don't think I would want them on my Les Paul, or my Gibson, F-Body.. But they are ok strings, for the cost.. And on my daily player, ( An Epiphone Dot ) they are ok.. For day to day practice, and teaching guitar lessons, Yes I would buy them again.. Might try the next gage up, next time...

Take this review as you will, I may be biased as I've been a D'Addario dude for as long as I've played, (many moons), so I'm not sure which is better at this point. Maybe that's a compliment. The tone sounds good (as far as I can tell. The feel is good, they seem to stretch about the same as my other strings, so I can't really find a downside to them. I know there are fans of each brand, but honestly, I think imo they're on par if not the same (could be better?) than what I normally use. So all that being said, I would recommend them no matter what brand you have used in the past. Unless you're a purist, in that case, why are you looking at other strings anyway? :D

Haven't use it yet but considering the bundle pack it's okay for it's price.

初めてghsの弦を購入しました。 ghsに張り替えたばかりは、ちょっと硬めな音かなと感じましたが、使っていくうちに腰のあるしっかりして、太い音になってきました。

Le utilizzo da una vita e su varie chitarre (Fender, Jackson, Ibanez..). Non sono conosciutissime, ma le preferisco alle marche più blasonate. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo; è raro che si spezzino, anche a distanza di varie settimane. Top!
