Solution Finish Black Trim Restorer, Silicone-Free, Plastic & Vinyl

UPDATE: Over the years I've used about every 'black' lotion with ho-hum results. I was in real need on my 2006 H3 that is always garaged, but the black trim had grayed out enough to bug me and there's a lot of it on the vehicle. I did the recommended 70% Alcohol wipe first to remove any left over silicon product. Wear gloves, get a couple of sacrificial microfiber towels for wipe off. I used a terry foam pad for the application. A little goes a LONG way. I bought the 2 ounce size and I've got enough left to do the same vehicle over again with some left over at least. Wipes right off of paint, no way to do the antenna mount and door handles without getting some on the paint. Use one of your microfibers to remove that. It's been on a day and I'm going to go back over everything today with another throw away microfiber just to do a final buff and excess removal. Trim is back to a beautiful low gloss finish. 2ND vehicle- Much worse condition than the H3, this Caravan, even though garaged has suffered the Florida sun fade. Very impressive product. I used a foam applicator pad, again. I chose this again over the Cerakote because there is no way to not get product on your paint when applying. I used Super Clean diluted 15:1 sprayed on an old microfiber towel to wipe off excess. Even though the Solutions may not last as long, for 10 bucks for 2 ounces is a real deal. I've got enough left to redo this and the grill slats 20 times.

Only black plastic restorer that truly works as advertised. Pure witchcraft honestly. Wipe on, wipe off. No buffing, sanding, swearing. I’m pretty sure it’s just Minwax ebony wood stain, but dang I’m a believer. New black plastics that look great? It makes them blacker. Scratched plastics? No more. Gave my wife a demo and even she said “wow babe, cool” as she stared off into the black plastics abyss in utter amazement.

I was beyond impressed with this product. I used this liquid to restore the bottom plastic trim on 2003 expedition. I used a microfiber towel for application. Things got a little messy but it was well worth it in the end. I definitely recommend wearing gloves. The liquid is black in color not Clear. Until it completely dry be careful not to lean against a wet erea and transfer it onto your clothes. It has rained several times and the product is still holding up well. For very faded plastic i disagree that a little goes a long way. However 12oz bottle was enough to do the entire vehicle with some to spare. I would Definitely recommend this product. 👍

It does what it states it is an oil based dye Its does get spotty but levels out to have a consistent shine I would recommend

Wow! I just want to brag on this product, this is some good stuff. I was shocked at how well this product lives up to it's claims. I have a 2014 Ford F-150 STX. The center console was pretty badly faded, splotchy, and needed some attention. It was a gray color instead of black. I removed it from the truck, washed it down twice with a scrub brush and dawn dish soap to strip any oils, spills, armor all ect. Then two wipe downs with 70% IPA. It's very simple to apply, very forgiving if you're a little sloppy, goes on smoothly, and a little goes a long way. Massage it in on the workpiece, let it sit for two minutes, and buff it off that's it. Don't mess with it afterwards, don't let it get wet, just let it sit overnight undisturbed. My center console looks almost new again. Really great product!

Great brought the shine back

So went on good. If it lasts all summer I'm happy. I will need to let my bike sit for few hrs to make sure none will rub off on me. If this stays 5 stars means it did not rub off on me and i continue to like it. Also I don't park outside in sun so I'm theory it should last a longer then 3 to 6 months. I have a before middle and after photo. It makes your stuff look really nice. I seen review online where he said it fades away again after 3 months but that guy literally parked in sun every day to test it. Time will tell.

This works very well and really brought my faded black trim back to life with a deep, clean finish that doesn’t have that greasy wet look. It goes on easy and the results are almost instant, which I really like. The only issue is the (2oz) bottle is TINY for the price, and there’s barely enough in it to do my 2 door Jeep, so you end up using more than you expect right away. Let’s see how long it actually lasts, because the performance is great but the quantity feels a bit underwhelming.

A small amount spread on a clean surface restores the original black color. I have applied it twice a month, and it's doing quite well. My jeep fender flares were in very bad condition, and the weather where I live is extremely hot and humid. Probably will repeat applying the solution every month to keep them always in perfect look.

Una pequeña cantidad rinde para mucha cobertura. Lo use en mi Tacoma y no solo en los plásticos descoloridos, sino que me gusto tanto el resultado que también lo aplique a areas de pintura negra como el porta equipaje en el techo, la caja de herramientas en el caja y todo quedo realmente como nuevo y sin brillo artificial. A varios meses de haberlo aplicado, y bajo el sol implacable y lluvia de Cancun todo lo negro sigue perfecto. Me encanto! Lo único que no calcule bien fue el tamaño de producto que compre. De haber sabido cuanta superficie se cubre con poquito producto hubiera pedido una botella mas chica. Pedi la grande y creo que nunca me la voy a acabar a menos que me empiece a dedicar a detallar autos como trabajo. Excelente producto

Used on trim on my 2018 BMW X1 and it looks fantastic. Beats any other product that I have used
