Thickened water works great for those with swallowing problems. My mother loves the taste and it helps prevent her from choking while drinking. Each time we've ordered, the delivery has been super fast and reliable.

Bottle top is very hard to open, but thickness of water is smooth and it’s palatable. Much smoother than powdered thickener. Would be nice to have the option to subscribe with discount.

My husband needed thickened water due to dysphagia (a swallowing disorder). I preferred the convenience of the pre-thickened water to adding thickener to tap water. Also, I used this water as a guide to make sure I was thickening other liquids accurately when I used thickener. Thick-It tastes like regular water--just thickened. Also, I believe it is less expensive for drinking water than adding thickener to tap water. ( I used the gel thickener because it had one gram of carbohydrates per oz. compared to 5 grams of carbohydrates per oz of powdered thickener. My husband was a Type I diabetic and carbohydrates control is very important. The gel thickener is more expensive than powdered thickener but necessary for good diabetic control.)

My husband has been put on this by doctor. When I order, it comes in a timely manner and not real expensive

since my stroke in 2020 I can only drink thickened water. It is always available at Amazon. Just wish it wouldn't keep going up in price, Started out at $100 a month it is now $200 a month which is a hefty amount on my limited income.

Product itself is good and quality continues to remain consistent, however my latest order arrived with all of the bottles smashed down. No visible damage to the shipping box, but something heavy must have rested on it for all of the bottles to be squashed down.

Purchased these for my husband who suffered from Parkinson's and had a difficult time swallowing, so I purchased this for him and added some to his regular drink. When I just add a bit it was helpful in the beginning but as he grew to having more difficulty with swallowing I added more to his drinks and it was very helpful. If you have a loved one that has a problem with possibly aspirating I would say 100% to purchase this product, it does not have any bad odor and no bad taste, so grateful to have found this product.

I’ve purchased several of these and they are all very difficult to open. I have to use a flat head screwdriver to get under the cap to loosen the rim. The I use the screwdriver to break off one or two sections of the cap itself to open the bottles. I’ve also used the pointed end of a can opener if the screwdriver didn’t fit under the rim. If my mother would drink water thickened with powder I would not purchase. The caps tore up a gripper type bottle opener and another that uses leverage. I suspect the bottles are purposely made this way because about half of them have also been smashed as mentioned by other reviewers. Try powder first. Only use this if you have to.
