Works well, easy to install
Had a 6-year-old Thinkpad X1 Carbon 3rd gen that had not been used for several years and the battery had zero charge and would not charge. This replacement battery worked well: it fit exactly (the five screws needed to hold the battery in place fit without any adjustment needed), came partially charged (about 30% charge) so the battery was detected by the laptop and immediately started charging, and, when fully charged several hours later, shows as having about 9 hours of charge under Ubuntu 21.04, which is fine. There were two small differences from the original Lenovo battery, First, the original had an approximately 2"x4" thin (1/16" thick) rectangle of foam glued around its center, presumably to create a tight mechanical fit when the bottom panel of the laptop was reattached. This foam is not present on the replacement battery, not sure if it matters. Second, the small electrical plug for the battery is connected by wires that were all tilted a bit to the right from the socket for the plug so I had to bend all the wires a modest amount to get the plug to insert, was a bit nervous that one of the wires might break off but this did not happen. All in all, the battery was easy to install and has worked as I wanted so I recommend this product, which I think is also priced fairly. Of course, will take several months to see how well the battery holds its charge but so far, so good.

Lower rated capacity than I thought in the beginning, then took nosedive and became unusable.
I am updating my review after using the battery for some time. I had good results with the battery at first, I think I psyched myself into thinking that it was giving me better battery life, but I don't think it really was. I rarely use it in a battery-only mode, so it was not a good analysis. The numbers don't lie, though, and as it turns out from the performance monitor I can see that this battery's Design Capacity was NOT equal to the original battery's capacity (41,440 as compared to 50,080 mWh); its maximum was actually a little less than the Full Charge Capacity my original battery had degraded to over the years of use. It seemed to give me better battery life than the 2-3 hours that I was getting with the original Lenovo battery, but as I said, I rarely use it without it being plugged in, and really cannot support that "feeling" based on the numbers in batteryreport. Anyway, it was "ok" for about 4-5 months (actually I see now that it was about 7 months). Then I noticed I kept running out of battery charge prematurely, and I finally realized I was only getting about 20 minutes out of a fully charged battery! I did not run the batteryreport (powercfg /batteryreport) at the time, but running it just now shows me that between July 2 and July 8 of 2024 (after running at 41,440 for those seven months), the Full Charge Capacity dropped from 41,440, to 37,980, and then between July 8 and July 17, cratered to 8,060 mWh, where it remains today. So whatever happened after initially being more or less fine (except for having markedly lower Design Capacity than what I believed I was buying as a replacement battery), it became completely unacceptable for use after a short period of time. I do NOT recommend this battery.

Forgive the name.. this is a solid product
This is a non-OEM battery for an old Lenovo X1 Carbon 3, installed now for several days. Works fine so far. Not unexpectedly, the Lenovo battery charge readings are a tad off, despite my recalibrating the settings. No biggie. The only issue is that the mounting holes were slightly off.. but I was able to succeed by partially starting all the screws and jigging it in.

Great so far
Note: I actually have this in a 2nd gen and it works fine. Here's an excerpt from the Win 10 battery report - you can see where I switched batterries in August. (The increase in design capacity is because the original 2nd gen battery is lower capacity) PERIOD FULL CHARGE CAPACITY DESIGN CAPACITY 2021-06-16 - 2021-07-01 27,730 mWh 45,020 mWh 2021-07-01 - 2021-07-12 27,730 mWh 45,020 mWh 2021-07-12 - 2021-07-23 27,716 mWh 45,020 mWh 2021-07-23 - 2021-07-25 28,469 mWh 45,909 mWh 2021-07-25 - 2021-08-21 50,000 mWh 50,000 mWh 2021-08-21 - 2021-08-28 48,708 mWh 50,000 mWh 2021-08-28 - 2021-09-04 48,660 mWh 50,000 mWh 2021-09-04 - 2021-09-11 48,660 mWh 50,000 mWh 2021-09-11 - 2021-09-18 48,660 mWh 50,000 mWh 2021-09-18 - 2021-09-25 48,656 mWh 50,000 mWh 2021-09-25 - 2021-10-02 48,650 mWh 50,000 mWh It is still holding at the 48.5 or so full charge capacity

Extended the lift of my 2015 ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 3
The installation is easy following the Youtube video, however, it did take me 30 minutes to remove the old battery since their screws were purposely designed to be "soft" so when I tried to unscrew them then slipped screwhead happened. I had tried multiple tools till found one that was perfectly matched to be able to remove them. Once the old one was removed, then it only took 5mins to put the new one inside and mission completed.

Recensione dopo 4 mesi
