What is the lens dimensions? Descriptions says this thing a monster at 6 inches wide by nearly 2 feet long?

roughly 2 1/4" @ the lens base and 16 3/4" long, the 6" x 24" was probably the shipping dimensions. mine came with a metal case which is about 4 1/2" w x 5" h x19" long
