does a great job sharping my knives

Great knife sharpener, very easy to use. I have used this regularly for 1.5 years now on my kitchen knives & several scissors and it keeps them in great shape.2 *potential* downsides, depending on what your expectations are:1) it is fairly large and blocky, and some will say that it takes up too much space in an already crowded kitchen drawer.2) It does not do a particularly good job of working up *really* dull or hard-used knives/scissors. If you have something in really bad shape you need to start elsewhere (I used my Dremel to restore some condition to an old knife and an old scissors, and then used this after that to "hone" them to better working condition).That said, if you use this on a regular basis on knives/scissors that are already in decent condition it does a great job.

This was delivered within 2 days and seems to be a good value. It seems to work best on straight edge knives and scissors even though it is advertised to also sharpen serrated knives and does not seem to sharpen serrated knives. Based upon review of other inexpensive sharpeners, that seems to be the case for most of them, even if it is advertised to work on serrated knives. I do like that it has 3 sharpening slots and a separate one for scissors for different finishing. It seems to do the job for sharpening kitchen knives.

One of the unexpected things about homeschooling is that scissors tend to go blunt after lots of use.This doesn't sharpen very quickly, making the repetitive motion required a bit tedious. But we do get better scissor edges, so yay!

This gets the job done!

I used to use an electric sharpener, but it stopped functioning. This time I decided to forego the expense of an electric device and go with a manual sharpener. I like the fact that this is much more compact than an electric model so takes up less room in our cupboards. I had just sharpened most of my knives with the electric sharpener before it "died," but I did try this manual sharpener on a few knives that still needed sharpening and it did a fine job. I also like the fact that this particular product has a slot for sharpening scissors. It has three "blades" for sharpening knives, so this makes the task as easy as 1, 2, 3.

It works well with knifes and scissors. Follow directions. You may like to swipe it more than five times (in only one direction...towards you) depending on the desired sharpness.

Easy to use and works well on softer knives. I have some knives that are made of very hard stainless steel and are very hard to get sharp. It takes a lot of work for his sharpener to put an edge on these knives. It has worked well on the Scissors I have tried so far.

A wonderful knife sharpener! I have used this on a multitude of knives in the kitchen and each time the edge has been really sharp and lasted a while. I actually found a rusted sickle in the shed a couple of days ago and thought I would try and sharpen it with this, to my great surprise, it worked! Cannot recommend this enough, even comes with gloves to assist your grip if you need them.

No issues with the product. Easily and effortlessly sharpen a variety of knives and scissors. Like having the three sharpening options and having a separate option for sharpening scissors. Design of handle keeps sharpener in place while sharpening.

Lots of Scissors in various degrees of bluntness, most important my dress making Scissors. This sharpener worked well on all of them, small, large and in between, a god send for those of us who do not like to throw things out.
