I’ve used this highlighting kit several times, and it has saved me hundreds of dollars compared to going to a salon. The instructions were easy to follow, and I was able to get nice, natural-looking highlights at home. The color turned out great, and my hair still felt healthy afterward. If you’re comfortable doing your own hair, this is a great way to save money while getting beautiful results.

Use the Revlon frost I can't tell you how many times! People and Beauticians, are going to frown how I use it! I don't use the cap an hook! I like the way there is one packet to mix with the solution. Others have 2 packets with extra solutions ,this one is simple to mix and turns to a purple color, then you know have the right one. I did this with long hair and now short. I take a comb with the handle , dip in the foam highlight, and lightly comb it where I want the highlights, not real close together as this expands. Works every time, stays a long time on, and is a simpler way to do! This product is they best I have found and way cheaper than the others.

I have always gotten this brand since I was probably 18 or so.I like how it has the cap inside of the box, and how it ties to your chin to provide a nice snug grip to your scalp where the holes need to be.It has several ways to apply your highlights as well, you can section it off to the front and sides, or do your whole head. It also has an every other hole structure that you can follow to get even and consistent strands all around your head. And if you wanted a ton of highlights you can do every single hole they've punched inside of it.Which is great ! That they give you so many choices on how many highlights you can put inside of your hair.The bleaching kit comes with a little plastic rectangle bowl and a powder pouch along with the developing cream.You'll pour your powder in and the developer creme in and mix with the spatula they provide. Which also has a hook to it and you pull your strands of hair out with the hooked side of the spatula.Some of their boxes had a metal hook and some are plastic.I suppose it depends on which highliting kit you get.You can also save some of your bleach and pour about half of your powder and half of your developing cream if you're doing a small portion of hair for your highlights.Then it will have a plastic cover for after you're done applying your hair and keeps it moist and from drying out.All in all this is my favorite and leaves my hair very lightened and beautiful, it doesn't dry my hair out like others can and has a nice conditioner that helps smooth your hair.

I would have gave five stars if they gave an appropriate amount of product. My 10 yr old wanted full blonde have, and I’m not Will to go that far. The happy medium was highlights and , Google + Reviews seem to have a great deal.my daughter’s hair is virgin to all chemical processes. This my first time doing highlights on anyone and anything potentially damaging to her hair. I made a head map and asked her where she wanted the lighter pieces. So I had 10 quadrants. Top section diagonally forward and opposite the back. I did lighter selections first then foiled, then I went throughout the mid back then went forward then went back for gaps . It didn’t bleed, it came out surprisingly great. It is very drying, I wish they make it a creamer conditioner to do color with, or add oil to process. I add Alma oil after each step. Minimum hair came out through coloring, i didn’t use cap. I didn’t use spatula, I use the brush with spike for application. I also went up the shaft for a better blend. She already wants more and can’t stop touching it. I will update pic when I style it again she messed up the curls I put in.

Great value! Cap and highlighting tool worked well and was a nice quality. The hair lightener worked good on my brunette hair.The shampoo and conditioner included was a nice bonus.

I have had highlights most of the time since 1991. I have paid for them at salons who back then also pulled through a cap and I have paid $150 several times for foils. This kit plus Wella T19 toner and 10 volume developer as seen in my finished picture gives me very very similar results as I get paying for salon services. Be gentle with your hair when pulling it through so you don't break it. Get a metal hook if you can these kits use to come with it instead of plastic. The very smallest crochet needle also works. I pulled every hole sometimes twice to achieve this amount of highlights and I have ALWAYS waited the entire 60 minutes before rinsing. I'm the darkest shade of blond on the color chart at salons. Remember when checking to remove all bleach from the tiny test area and rub it dry with a towel because hair under bleach appears very different. I have never experienced damage just remember not to apply bleach to anything previously bleached unless you drastically adjust the amount of time you let it process. Almost everyone will end with a yellow blond after bleaching. Just find an after bleach toner you like to adjust the brassieness. Once your hair is lightened there's no need for additional lift so going with a 10 volume developer will work just fine. Dove and L'Oreal make some great bond building products you might want to consider for after care and definitely deep condition about once a week and a good purple shampoo with help keep the brass away. I used it to baliage by hand. I had colored my hair a too dark blonde, I needed it lighter. I didn't expect much but it worked really well! Be mindful of timing, follow directions.

Oh no it’s tragic!! I didn’t think it would go this light? I look like Elsa and there’s no going back… next time I’ll pay someone to do it.. if you just want some minimal coke highlights, pull little bits through every fourth hole.. also the plastic hook sucks!! I broke two of them and had to resort to a metal crochet hook… not worth the hassle… dye it all or get it done in a salon.

I wash it after 1 hour, it gives me colour golden brown it didn't dry my hair and I will buy it again

After a bit of a battle with box dyes, I decided to go for a uniform natural colour on my hair and then add highlights using this highlighting cap system.I remember these things from decades ago and thought it was funny that I was gonna give it a try but some YouTube videos were showing great results.I decided to only pull every other hole on the top part of my scalp while avoiding the hairline near my face and along my part. I only pulled out the tiniest pieces, almost comically small strands. The results were surprisingly natural, looking and most definitely a massive upgrade for me.I chose to go back and foil-in a couple money pieces near the front using some leftover product. I can’t believe I got decent results from this, but I did.
